Mary was not repossessed. She just turned back to her old ways, what was familiar when faced with old memories. The Chosen never claimed that the series was adhering strictly to the Bible. They are developing life stories of Jesus' followers and how they see what Jesus could do in a person's life. I believe they have done a beautiful job in showing how Christ can bring healing to a broken world.😊

Never, Anywhere in “the chosen” do they say Mary was “re-possessed “! She told Jesus ( Jonathan Roumie) that he Redeemed her and she just “threw it away “, to which he answered “Well, that’s not much of a redemption if you can lose it in a day”… She just did what we all do… We all fall sometimes… that is what makes His redemption/grace so Amazing! Amazing Grace!! You Can’t buy it, or Earn it! That’s why it’s called, Grace.

I love every single thing about this marvelous movie. All of the actors are superb, Jonathan Roume plays Jesus Christ so well that he manages to leave me with really deep emotions. I can’t watch Chosen with a dry eye. Believe or not, this movie has changed my life. Thank you to Dallas and the entire crew involved in this wonderful portrayal of the life of our BELOVED JESUS CHRIST. Don’t stop!!

The cast is magnificent. And Jonathan playing the part of Jesus is quite convincing. Together, they make me feel as though I was born in the wrong era. I'm learning about the Bible in a way that is new to me. And I am understanding it as I never have before. I applaud The entire cast and crew of the Chosen. I have a much deeper story to tell. I love this movie on the Bible , the Chosen and I am going to see it from start to finished , This touched my heart and gave me guilt seeing the man playing Jesus, he had this special talent from Jesus the favorites are Mary Magdalene , Peter, Nicodemus, Matthew Mary and Joseph, Some parts made me sad and I cried watching this Chosen yes, those Chosen followers are so lucky the actors and actress did play they parts as a Special gift from Jesus Himself,,,,,,,,wish I had a part but am not Chosen,,,,,thanks for making this movie ,,,,,,,,,God bless all the cast who took part in this,,,,,,,,,

I don’t know why some claim that this show presents the LDS perspective. LDS is not compatible with Christianity, but there’s nothing non-Christian about this show, which is wonderful.

@@scottmccullough4060 the entire reason LDS Theology exists is because, as was revealed to Joseph Smith, all religions were wrong, and the restored Gospel had to set things right. Christianity is incompatible with LDS theology. They can’t both be correct. That’s why Mormons Baptize the dead, so the Departed can get the correct Gospel. So as I said, LDS theology is not compatible with Christianity. Which one is correct depends on whether one is Mormon or Christian, but they can’t both be correct.

I loved this series... until season 3, when they had Mary Magdalin repossessed or backsliding. It's totally NOT biblical. I love the poetic license, but it has to be in line with the Bible. Sorry, too big of a mistake. Won't ever watch again. I have concerns about the collaborators and their understanding of doctrine.

The show is not a replacement of Scripture and has never claimed to rewrite Scripture. And Scripture doesn't tell us much about Mary Magdalene's life. The Chosen is a show that presents the humanity of His followers like Mary. So, the question is: is it plausible that Mary Magdalene could have backslidden sometime during her life? Yes, she's human. Just as it is plausible you or I could backslide, as there by the grace of God go I or any one of us, as we are all being made perfect. So, it's sad that you've chosen not to watch the show because of something the Bible doesn't confirm or deny. But, respectfully, to each his own. God Bless.

Perhaps you should fully read comments to ensure you understand what is written and fully comprehend it before commenting because that in fact is EXACTLY what I wrote. It's not in the Bible. The Bible also does not indicate whether or not Matthew was on the autistic spectrum either. Yet you had no issues watching the show for 3 years in spite of the fact that the character of Matthew has been played this way from his intro. Yet you don't indicate a problem with this, only with Mary Magdalene backsliding? You've not used your own logic consistently. So, if the Bible doesn't speak on it, how can it be a mistake? Again, I repeat, you've not even used your own logic consistently. If you don't want to watch the show that's certainly your prerogative, but don't try to berate my comment or the show when your own argument isn't sound and indicates that you have no comprehension of what I wrote. So, it is you who in fact, needs to do some research and, respectfully re-reading before making a comment.
