@noah_2006. My elder daughter was born in England in 1989. I have given her a piece of the Berlin Wall, with graffiti on it, and told her to think of it as a chunk of freedom.

I am from India and in our 8th grade CBSE English book we had a chapter called "The best Christmas present in the world". It described about the truce. That was emotional tbh😊

I wish we could learn about different countries, we only learn about ours(canada)

Well in India ssc board it's same we only learn about India and it gets repetitive at one point in history books they tell about about 2008 imen that's like 2 years before I was horn that ain't history and there is so much history like ww1 ww2 we just have 2 to 3 passages and other countries are only mentioned😢

@@user-lz9cy1cg8s curriculum needs to be changed in SSC board . In CBSE and ICSE we study about other history also. That's a plus point.

CONTEXT: This scene has been taken from the movie "All quite on the western front"(this is a mistake, read the edit) which depicts extremely harsh conditions while fighting in the trenches during WW1, however during the Christmas of 1914, the German forces wanted to celebrate the occasion, so they lit their lanterns and displayed them on the edge of their trenches, carol singing broke out. Soon enough the British and French troops joined in. Christmas greetings and well wishes were exchanged, and offers of a temporary ceasefire were communicated between the trenches. It was a truly a heartwarming moment in all of history. [edit : The scene isn't from AQOTWF, I was mistaken :(, it's actually from a commercial made by "Sainsbury's" 8 years before the remake was made]

Nice description but the clip itself is from a Christmas commercial by a British Supermarket called Sainsbury’s
