Agree with both of you gentlemen, the 70's was an halcyon era for cinema. It was a great time to have spent your formative years during this time with not only the movies we saw, but with music we grew up with. History will look back during these times in the same way historians look at the golden era of Hollywood. Thanks for allowing us to be a fly-on-the-wall during great conversations. The type of conversations I would enjoy myself.

Nick has a good point about watching movies or sports with friends. If I were to watch a baseball game with him, he would be able to show me how to enjoy it and what to get excited about. I typically am not a baseball fan. There are certain people that make going to certain sporting events a whole different event, likewise with movies. With movies though, I prefer to watch at home with friends so you can make quality healthy food I like and can talk a little trash without worrying about pissing people off in the theater.

Steven Van Zandt as Jerry Vale? Sweet! Lee brought up a good point when he said he wished Hoffa should have had more of a background from where he started out. Of course all us who lived through that know, but for the younger generation, I see his point. Then Nick brought up the Sylvester Stallone movie F.I.S.T. which is fantastic, is loosely based on Hoffa. And in my opinion is way better and realistic than the Nicholson flick. It's a good introduction, film wise, for the younger generation to grasp a real idea of Hoffa's roots. Great podcast, great movie The Irishman. Thanks Joey, Lee and Nick. Nice work!🤘
