‘The worship of God is what we encourage, and we’re using the music of John Coltrane.’ So says Bishop Franzo King, who with his wife, the Reverend Mother Marina King, founded the Saint John Coltrane African Orthodox Church in San Francisco. Since its creation in 1971, it has evolved into the Saint John Will-I-Am Coltrane Church. The vibe is a rapturous out-of-your-head-ness, where instead of the choir and the hymn book there is the sinuous, transcendent music of the jazz-saint, John Coltrane.

God Is Love! And this is what their ministry offers to all who enters into their house of worship!!! It’s a miracle how our Lord God led me here,to a house of worship I can call home,where who you are is not a judgement or condemnation. But your creativity whatever it is or you believe it is can be used to send up praise an gratitude to our Lord God Messiah Jehovah Jesus Christ! COOL! This is far more how church should be instead of a bunch of people sleeping or otherwise not interacting and then going out the door after the service ready to give Hell to the first person they see....if they don't already have someone in mind. This is one, ONE of the characteristics of the Christian church that is all too often dumped on some unsuspecting soul and the denomination makes no difference. I know because I spent 5 years trying my best to take care of a church and its people only to find they weren't getting anything from writings that are 2000 years old and nobody's certain who wrote the stuff. I received absolutely NO HELP from the Methodist Church. It was very much like, "Here you go, dope!" Can a company be run this way? Or any other organization?
