Ability to attach a bladder to back might be a good option or a second style, so would one with mags on the side. To me, this vest should be Black or Khaki for operators because in Woodland, you mostly go prone due to lack of cover, only concealment vs Urban area with plenty of cover to duck / kneel behind or step around. Taking AR & AK mags makes this vest a 2 for 1 bargain....that was a great idea.

What would be the chances for getting one of these made for 7.62x51? I was blessed with the privilege of being my group's 308 "SAW" guy. This looks like it may fit nicely with my crossfire DZ rig.

@@DD_Dietriech I've thought about it. What round count mags you running? 25?
@DD_Dietriech
@DD_Dietriech 3 ай бұрын
@@CitadelDefense1 I have 25rd PMags, 20 round D&H mags, and even some 50rd PMag drums. I'd like use the 25rds in the rig depending on height and weapon interference. Like a few others have commented a split rig option may be a thought as well. I'm still debating which route to go as getting low enough to use my bipod an important consideration with my 15-30 pound Galil depending on which mag or drum I'm using.
@CitadelDefense1
@CitadelDefense1 3 ай бұрын
@@DD_Dietriech The drums should fit in the current GP pouches. But it might just be that my rig isn't the best fit for your current needs. You should look at Beez Combat Systems if you haven't already. They have a split 308 rig that might be your speed.

that radio pouch is a clever solution. The overall design looks perfect for the average person. All the capability you need, no more and no less. I am a proponent of simple non-modular chest rigs because extra pouches encourage you to stuff them full of gear you should keep in your ruck or in your pockets.

Always liked the BDS Frog Rig but thought it was too wide due to the 4 doubles on the front. This seems like a much more practical option with the 3 doubles instead 👍🏻

It looks really nice. He took what the majority of people were doing with the modified TAPS rigs and made an out of the box solution. I can dig it.

Pretty solid rig. Only a few nuanced things I see that put the OPS ECCR or Blackhawk Commando Rig a nose hair ahead (like a 4th mag pouch), great option though.

He did an excellent job designing this rig . Me personally I would like to had a split chest rig with a zipper and 8 mags. I was wondering on if 2 40rd would fit in each pouch as my team have a few IAR type rifles and I prefer this role for myself I am moving my gear to fill this role .

Semper Fi! My only issue with vest is, if you're wearing Woodland cammo, you're going prone at some point. Great vest for Black or Khaki (Operator) but for grunt work, in Woodland....fox holes, trenches, bunkers, fallen trees & stumps... front should be clear, mags on sides. Perfect vest for urban environment. In Woodland, you're always going prone due to lack of cover. It's a well thought out vest & I would buy one just for the high CDI (Chics Dig It) factor alone & specialty / non static woodland ops. (Recon, LP / OP, Sentry, etc.) Optional hydration capability would be nice.

What dose stang mags stand for ?
@brinsonharris9816
@brinsonharris9816 3 ай бұрын
It’s an acronym for STANAG, for standardization agreement plus some numbers, that made most NATO countries use a magazine that was interchangeable with M-16/M4 mags. It was never fully adopted, so there are weapons that don’t use it, such as the Steyr AUG and SIG rifles. The UK and Germany and France now use STANAG mags.

So its pretty much just a ripped-off T-Rex Arms quad flap with one less double rifle mag pouch and less molle space for custom pouch selection. M81 Woodland camo? Citadel Defense guy must not know Brent's a Marine! Brent wears woodland underwear and sleeps on woodland sheets! Flaps - yes! Chest rig - no. Mainly due to the fact that my LBE belt requires harness shoulder straps already and I generally will be wearing a ruck - when I'm LARPing around the 'hood. Enough straps already! Closest thing to a 'chest rig' I'd wear is an FLC - unzipped! That said - the CD Spectre chest rig looks like a good basic patrol rig for some people - as long as an IFAK is on board. Those mag pouches are 'new'. Pack those .308 mags in there and let 'em stretch a while - should be okay for use with two.

So let's take a count. Just how many chest rigs are out there in the last let's say 5 or 10 years? It's getting ridiculous. I noticed the guys in Ukraine really don't give two s**** about all that crap. Watch some live vids, not like the larping here in the US.
@philjimito7250
@philjimito7250 3 ай бұрын
Who cares about what the "guys in Ukraine" give a crap about? What's that have to do with anything? It's a video about a chest rig. Chest rigs get used in combat quite often. Training is larping? how about you go to those "guys in Ukraine" while they're training and tell them they're larping. The "larping" here in the u.s. or really in most first world nations is based on the last war we were engaged in. The Russian - Ukrainian war is nothing like the GWOT. And a war in the United States will be different from the Ukraine war. Most people are training or the "larping" you see is heavily influenced by the 20 years of GWOT that a lot of us participated in/are still participating in but skewed towards how we assume a war would be fought here in the U.S. based off of the individuals local topography. What's your point here?
@IG10705
@IG10705 3 ай бұрын
Look at you obsessed with the Russo/Ukrainian war. Smh Who cares about that conflict. People uses what they think is best for them. Just because you see a stupid live video from a conflict with someone wearing gear that you think may work for 9 times out of ten, it doesn't. You have to experiment with the gear. It's not a one size that fits all kind of deal
