Can’t wait to see the entire sidewalk for that street cleared. Those businesses should be shouting praises to you both for helping their businesses by cleaning up the area around them. I also noticed you went back and flipped the cover right side up! Wasn’t easy, but it fits and looks even better. Keep up the good work…hopefully you will inspire others to be by your side. You should read about Dashrath Manjhi. He spent 22 years carving by hand a path through the mountain so his village could get access to medical care. His community eventually helped support him and his endeavors to speed up the process since the government refused to do anything about it. It’s very inspiring and something you can use as motivation to keep doing this noble work.

it's prioritisation I think . First to reclaim the sidewalk so it can be used . Weeds will eventually decompose or of course more plants will grow over the top. Burning is not a good option Vietnam already has a serious air pollution problem - the face masks they wear are not only for covid they are because of the exhaust fumes. A Bob cat and an operator with a truck would be useful I think so that the green waste can be moved away to a landfill area . Maybe a business or community organisation like Rotary international might like to support this project with a donation.

I think they do return later or someone does and has a burn off if the green waste did not decompose from what I read in a previous comment. Interesting that what Chris said about no household waste being collected meaning residents just dump it on the sidewalk. In many countries garbage workers go on strike and garbage just piles up what we are seeing here in Vietnam is just like that but it has been happening for decades.
