Looks as if the wood underneath is mahogany/mahogany ply? Might have been worth sanding and polishing to see how it came up before covering it up, just a thought?

It has delaminated in places so sanding wouldn't have done the job i'm afraid. Cheers Martin

Yes, they were but we had to change them as the arches didn't clear the wide front wheels we had fitted when turning on full lock.

I don't think you've taken the veneer off Martin, looks to me the veneer is intact. Always looks rough just after you strip it, but for piece of mind it might be an idea to reveneer it........... ........ok just watched a bit later, yeah do the leather or carbon!! What about Carbon Fibre vinyl wrap??!!
