Fun-ish fact - did you know that the first time term vampire (or "vampir" originally) was used was in the early 18th century, for a man called Petar Blagojević, in a small town Kisiljevo that belongs to today's Serbia - the term is also the only Serbian word to be used internationally and it's only because the Austrians started using the word and rest of the Western Europe picked it up from them. Petar died and then suddenly nine other people were found dead, his widow said that he was haunting her, so naturally everyone decided that the deceased man was responsible for the deaths. It's a cool story when told in its entirety, sadly it was never novelised.

Apart from lacking ice, I can COMPLETLY see a sisters similarity Elinor & Elsa = the sense, the eldest, the decision making head, who contain all their secrets and feelings. Marianne and Anna = the sensibility, the youngest, the impulsive hearts, who are open, honest upfront and fearless. Wonderful- I hope you review it as such...when you read it 😂 And Emma Thompson film is a MUST for this!

I loved "Dracula." It is told through diary entries, letters, news clippings, etc., but I thought it worked very well for the story. Once you get used to it, it actually adds to the suspense and tension. Well worth the read. Phantom of the Opera by Gaston LeRoux is one of my favorite classics and if you enjoyed the musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber than you should like the book. There are of course differences, but I loved it. Yes, I can say I read Dracula and that was only last year. The closest adaptation that is somewhat true to the book is the movie that stars Gary Oldman, Keneau Reeves, Winona Ryder, Cary Elwes, and I believe Anthony Hopkins or Dennis Hopper as Van Helsing. I will say read it slow and sorry to say it's mostly written through journal entries, letters, and phonograph recordings, still a good book. I haven't read Vampyr and only part of Camilla. I have yet to read Frankenstein, House on Haunted Hill, more Edgar Allen Poe (read most of his poetry and at least four of his tales), Heidi, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Leaves of Grass, and many more. The minute you said Brendan Fraser and The Mummy, I smiled like an idiot, love him and the first two movies of the Mummy.
