All the trends are becoming redundant, people should just wear what they like without thinking they have to stick to an aesthetic

i feel like trends only matter to 14 year olds and people who are chronically online. the average person neither knows, cares, or has the time to switch out their whole wardrobe for every era, so i often wonder who these trends and videos are directed at.

you mentioned 2 groups…14 year olds (a lot of them partake in trends) and people who are chronically online which is almost everyone and that can cover a whole slew of people from all sorts of ages and backgrounds…your answer is in your question in my opinion

This is so weird. Clean girl/soft life to mob wife is shocking but not. I can see the style being a more mature upgrade from clean girl. However, the mob wives were constantly getting cheated on. Also, if you watched the show, I'm pretty sure some of the women got arrested. How did we go from soft life to idolizing mob or basically gang wives. Not to mention the extra waste when you throw out your clothes every couple of months. If you want to wear a fur coat, just wear one. Wear what you want. Fashion doesn't always have to be one big reset, especially every couple of months.
@thelidiaedit11 ай бұрын
same goes for latinas. Idk if you think it's funny to romantisize on narcos, but it isn't for many people. Sure, we have movies and series, and I love most of them...but they tell a whole story. an offensive aesthetic isn't a story. Just wear your fur coats, as beautiful as they are and with the style you want, instead of creating offensive trends and names for them. pleaaaaase.

I usually don't join trends all of the time. But I definitely got a Stanley cup! That viral video influenced me. I think trends will always come and go. Maybe faster than they used to, but it'll eventually die down and then be recycled again.

Your hair is so cute in this video!! But anyways lol, I’m so glad this video was made. It feels good to not keep up with every single trend, seems exhausting lmao. Like why is this even … I wonder what personal style would look like to people without social media. Like would originality even be a thing?? Not even stopping at clothing style/fashion. Hairstyles, makeup style, lifestyle or even the types of housing lol. Can you imagine 😂😂😂😂

Even after watching I feel like everybody is just constantly trying to make problems out of everything. It’s just a trend. Trends have names. They always have, that’s how we’re able to cross reference fashion/looks from diff time periods (ex: the New Romantics of the 1980s). I understand from the perspective of “rebranding” things that have already existed but that’s just how trends work, they cycle in and out with diff names. It’s truly just not that deep :)

Having a discussion about things is fine. You don’t have to give it more thought if you don’t want to, but discussion and pointing things out is fine. Nobody is policing what other people do just because they have an opinion that also happens to be negative. It’s on people to own whatever it is they do and be comfortable with it. :)
@usrnamejada Жыл бұрын
i think you should be telling yourself it’s not that deep? you felt so passionate about your argument towards this to type all of this out…but you don’t have to engage in topics that don’t interest you if you don’t want to :) scrolling is a choice we all have. and this topic didn’t make me lose any sleep, just simply starting a conversation. 💗
@Peeoffmute Жыл бұрын
@@usrnamejada doesn’t a conversation go two ways? So if I wanted to listen with an open heart and disagreed with what you said I should keep it to myself? Oh ok. I see. It’s a discussion between people who agree only. Sounds really stimulating 😊
@b.p.5129 Жыл бұрын
@@Peeoffmute It is a discussion. That’s why you were replied to. You chimed in with your personal feelings, and you were told that your personal feelings are your responsibility and that discussion that’s looking into this topic deeper isn’t hurting anybody or causing drama just because it’s negative, it’s just how people want to react to it. It’s funny how you wanted your opinion to be heard, but you can’t hear somebody else’s?? And nobody even told you to keep it to yourself, you just didn’t like the answer you got. That’s your personal issue.
