This type of journaling was so challenging for me that I thought on stopping even with my digital one but then I started commonplacing on mine and it make me SO HAPPY, I'm just so proud of opening this notebook and watching all my interests in one place. Is refreshing ✨

2024 was also the year I started my journal! We definitely use a different media (next to writing I like sticking down some tangible little scraps on some days like wrappers, flowers or leaves). Congrats on this pivotal year for us both and cheers to 2025!

I love your video so much, you seem like the loveliest person. 💗 I've been journaling fairly consistently since 2023 but my goal was only to document big events and my travels. It's really fun flipping through that journal now, but this year specifically I decided to also start a normal, daily journal. I've noticed my tendency to yap my friends to death, and realised I really just need a space to collect my thoughts without spamming someone's notifications every other day.💀 I am honestly excited to start this year. I think we're the same age so maybe you're also experiencing a similar feeling, where despite many unknowns in my future, even the nearest one, I am gradually more at peace with myself. I started enjoying taking the time to express my emotions, think about what I'm feeling in the moment, and learn how to put this into words - before that my life seems like it's been so rushed through. I preferred to get things over with, forget traumatic experiences instead of working through them, and the one I possibly regret the most, I didn't take enough time to take real, conscious pleasure in the happiest moments. I appreciate life more as I see now of how I myself influence the environment I am in, and I allow myself to be a part of that too. Thank you so much for posting again, I am grateful to be able to listen to your thoughts and year recap as it sparked a lot of inspiration within me.

I kept a computerized journal for two years when I used a notebook to keep a to-do list and the occasional thought came to me so quickly that I didn't think it was time to turn on the computer and write again. For various reasons, I didn't journal as much as I used to (or almost stopped), and after a year of this “journaling gap,” I started journaling again in 2025, only this time I decided to start with a handwritten journal. The beauty of handwritten journaling is its slowness. Compared to typing, we have more time to think about the writing process. Of course, I do worry that I'll get lazy because I find handwriting too tiring, resulting in not jotting down all my thoughts (of course, this subconscious filtering is not necessarily a bad thing - after all, our lives can't be completely written over), or that handwritten notes aren't as portable and easy to save as electronic ones. But in the end, I decided not to think about it so much and write first.🥰

@@xiximilkbeer love it. I work as a writer and I’m constantly on the computer, I love it for efficiency and storage but writing by hand is an experience that help with feeling centered and present!
