We love blackpool and I hate eating inside , it’s not right , you have to sit outside in freezing cold , sand blowing all over and bits of rain , they taste better , good you’re doing this , because we take grandkids every year to blackpool and want the best place to go

I must admit..Blackpool looks like a dump these days. Its a shame as it used to be the place to go. I think that Cod Father is a chain. I was hoping that you would find a family run fish and chip shop. I live in Bridlington. The Fish and Chips here are to die for. Bridlington have a loveley beach and lots to do for kids. Many fish and chip shops are family run so they take so much Pride in their produce...We have the fishing harbour so you can imagine how fresh the fish is...Lovely light bubbly crispy batter..Thick chunks of fish. you can get large fish and chips here for 7 quid or less. Not bad for a tourist area. Boris Johnson travelled all this way just for the fish and chips lol...Hope you think of a visit to Bridlington.

Not a chain, I think it's just a popular name! There are two great chippies on the Prom not far from each other, The Cod Father and The Cod Mother, both owned by the same Blackpool family.

We love a good fish & chips from the coast. Curry sauce with your fish&chips is a must but yes like you say, the fish looked a little thin. But the Price isn’t too bad either to be fair. Quality video man great editing🔥😁😁👏

Two great chippies near me in WF3 Robin Hood Fisheries (cash only) and Main St Fisheries in East Ardsley (not far from M1) Both are take out only so youd have to eat them in the car!

Im actually sitting in there right now and its gotta be the worst fish and chips I've ever had. Stale oil taste and a mega thin excuse of a fish. I asked if the fish was cod or haddock and got a blank stare from a very miserable looking lady. Big blue bags of frozen chips literally piled on the floor next to a woman sitting barefoot behind the counter on her phone. The chips were anemic and under cooked the vinegar had zero taste of vinegar and to top the whole experience off they watched an old man on crutches come to the counter to pick up his tray and watched him struggle rather than taking it to his table for him. Luckily i helped him and they didn't bat an eyelid. Motherhubbards is literally 2 mins away and miles better for a similar price. Save yourself the disappointment guys.

At least you've tried it so we don't have to lol ... the fish looked horrible and as for the batter 🤢 Tower Fisheries are supposed to be spot on really good fish and chips and less than £6 inc peas .. l saw a review a few months back and they looked great with nice crispy batter .

Yates was shut as the owners stone gate already owned this one and Dutton arms then they bought the Manchester and the foxhall so they shut Yates down u should try c fresh on foxhall road nice chippy new owners now but same menu

Assumed seafront chippies would be cheaper than elsewhere - I know Skegness is very cheap for fish and chips. That fish was tiny for 9 quid - looks like the sort you usually get with chips and a sauce for £6!

Fish and chips look manky, mate... Typical fish and chip shop on the coast that don't care because they have a captive audience... Great review mate. If you ever get up my way (Haworth) the chippy in cross roads is by far the best I have had, along with the Wilson Arms in Torver.
