This scene and dream scene about rabbits (that Leyley-rabbit isn't welcome at family table) honestly made my heart ache.

That's interesting (and sad too.), I actually never noticed this during my playthrough, honestly it makes me want to learn more about what happens the siblings and what they've been through in Episode 3.

Yeah, i tried to put different rabbit in different places and Leyley-rabbit always fall down from a stool at family table. And she could sit only in her place in the corner of the room.

If you examine the rabbit in the inventory, Ashley fews the one resembling herself as worthless and views the plushie resembling Andrew as the best thing ever. Really goes to show her mental state

@@traehignight oh, I didn't examine the inventory. Thanks!

@@alexmonk Your welcome. Honestly Andrew and Ashley are underrated, easily some of the most interesting and complex characters personality wise

It's amazing how much information this flashback gives: 1. Leyley is clearly bothered by the fact that nobody else wants to play with her. This hints that her obsession with Andrew is a coping mechanism for her loneliness (supported by the questionable route diorama scene, where it shows Andrew is her parent, brother, sibling and classmate) 2. Andrew is clearly capable of feeling compassion and empathy. Yes, he would do anything to save his own skin, but before taking care of Leyley destroyed his sanity, he could clearly tell when she was hurt, and seemed like a decent kid. 3. The parents are serious deadbeats. Ashley is highly defiant, and a rules breaker, but she wasn't born inherently psychopathic. She seemed like a mostly normal kid in this scene (bar watching an R rated movie), even commenting that she only wanted to watch the movie because she wasn't allowed to, not because it satisfied dark compulsions. In a way, her parents neglecting and ostracising her, coupled with her freedom to be exposed to negative sources without guidance (like the movie), resulted in her being the way she is, and ironically why most people find her too weird and abrasive to be around. All of this information, by showing instead of telling, is why TCoAaL is so good imo.

As a parent myself i can't express how much i hate their parents. Especially mother. Especially when she is suspicious that Ashley and Andrew fucks. Yeah, they are very close, but this is coping mechanism - because they are neglected and unloved. Of course they support each other and seek love in each other (especially Ashley).

@@notoryum9862 I catch myself that I am worried about Andrew and Ashley like they are real people. I didn't see such reaction in myself from other fiction.
