From what I understand, the Ranger was originally on his way to Verdigris Patina (a peaceful little town) to apprehend a different outlaw named Alexander Copperplate, only to find that the townsfolk had already remedied the problem. (This a a reference to “The Copper War”, (an old Cog is Dead song), in case you were wondering.)

I love how you can hear every rendition has their own vibe. The original felt like a warning towards the ranger, I have heard renditions that was like a story, passed trough generations. And this one feels like a guy praising the victory of the ranger. LOVE IT! And goosebumps!
