Brings back memories of small town living the early 1980s, a tiny radio my only company. No rock stations available. When the station played Elvira, it was a bright part in my day. Always loved this song, and I absolutely adore this most excellent version of it. Thank you muchly!

Fantastic cover. This song is an old Favorite. My grandparents were really big Country music listeners and I have fond memories of riding shotgun in my Grandpa's old Ford truck with the Oakridge Boys blasting. Thank you for all the awesome music you still put out!

The harmonies and orchestration leave me thinking of this as a Halloween-like piece as well as a lovely bit of steampunk c&w fusion. Not about the Mistress of the Dark, though. Perhaps she's a vampire. But in truth, that's one of the great parts of this cover. It's flexible like that. Others' ideas about it also fit.
