This whole Team Taz segment was masterful. Hook got a massive reaction when he came out and he got an equally loud reaction when he won, Rocky Starks was the main focus on the show for three segments (his bit with Danhausen, the stuff with Hook and the next bit I’m coming to) and Hobbs also got a great moment when he turned on Ricky whilst he was cutting a fantastic promo. I feel like all of Team Taz here was elevated in a big way. If I’m booking I’m doing (if possible) Punk vs Moxley at All Out and having Punk win. I’m also doing Hobbs vs Wardlow and having Hobbs win and I’m moving Wardlow into a feud with Punk for the AEW title. Then build the TNT Championship scene around a dominant heel Hobbs, a charismatic tweener in Starks, Swerve, Lee, Allin, Jungle Boy, Daniel Garcia and Samoa Joe.

@@FlaQuiToPa978 No he shouldn't he is still way to young in the business, let him defend this title for awhile to get him use to it then down the road he can move into the TNT title picture

@@Eagles2020 what if he retires it? That was Taz's belt from ECW days. Only makes sense for Hook to return it to Taz. It's designed to get the holder TV time.

So True he deserved since he is always great in the ring and his record also still undefeated so far!

This was Cody winning NWA title level feels for me. It just feels right. I love that Taz got to watch it. Ricky Starks in 5 years will be the biggest babyface and MJF will be the top heel in the business. We have our Austin and Rock of this generation. If I'm TK, I'm putting everyone in front of Hook on a weekly basis in the first or main event spot on either show.

Exactly do what they did with the tnt title on cody or darby where they defended it every week. Normally I'd be worried about someone so green in that position but I've get to see a flaw in his game. He'd squash new talent so there's no need to worry about them messing up and they can slowly being in bigger more experienced names to carry him through longer matches

Let's not forget that Hook and Danhausen are buddies. The crowd were popping like explosives when Hook's music hits, when he put Ricky Starks in a submission hold, and taps Starks out. Congratulations to Hook on becoming the new FTW Champion. Starks gave it all he got in the tank, and he's the longest reigning FTW Champion. I would love to see Ricky Starks on the top someday. Kudos to both amazingly talented men.

I loved EVERY SINGLE THING about this! The anticipation after Starks's open challenge....I honestly had no clue who it would be, and Hook was about the last guy I expected. Then the match, short as it was, was thrilling, plus the awesomeness of Papa Taz on the call. And then the fist bump after, and the AMAZING Starks face promo. Freaking great TV.

Ricky Starks is the damn future of AEW cannot wait see all the things he accomplishes in his career, hoping the guy stays healthy!!🌟💫 Congratulations to Hook winning the FTW Championship, I know this is a moment not even Taz could have predicted he would in 2022 get to witness and call it as part of the broadcasting team his own son's match and the achievement of a Championship win Taz himself created. Props!!

Really feel for Taz getting to call his son not only winning his first championship, but the championship _he_ created decades ago in ECW. He must be so proud. The Roshambo counter directly into the Redrum was sweet as well.

He actually hits a suplex the correct way you learn in freestyle and Greco. Arch, looking back, up on the toes.
