The fact there's still some people that still remember chaotic is absolutely mindblowing

I am so thankfully finally someone brought up the lawsuit being total BS. It is mystifying to see big channels talk about Chaotic, and recite a fan rumor without a basis in reality. Thank you for doing any amount of research.

I had no idea how big chaotic was. I only ever thought it was a niche game with a small player base. The game was also overly complex. I couldn't figure it out, but maybe that was just 11 year old me not having the reading comprehension to understand the rule book.

I didn't realize Chaotic was so big, it tailed right behind the two major names in TCGs. I always thought it was small and easily forgotten which was why no one seemed to notice that it was gone. I started rewatching the series and collecting the cards this year, I'm ready for a revival.

Now a days there are so many card games coming out that a Chaotic revival likely wouldn't go particularly well. Just ask Battle Spirits how they're doing.

@@cillasasha8157 It crashed and burned horrifically very quickly when it first came out. Last year they tried to do a reboot but it's not doing much better than last time because people are busy playing other card games.

Battle Spirits was handled horribly by bandai, same with metazoo and their company. I think Chaotic could do well should it come back, Flesh and Blood is relatively new and its doing great, Digimon is doing well enough, Grand Archive is growing, Lorcana and One Peice's tcg are also doing well. I think the game would do fine

I really hope Chaotic comes back one day. I been waiting since forever when it was first announced the game could come back in the future. I think in the really saturated market of card games they want to get things right as they got one shot to hit the ground running. Take Battle Spirits Saga for instance another game I really like that was hyped up with huge cash prizes where a couple months later your first two sets booster boxes are worth $20 and stores probably don’t want to carry your product anymore cause it probably won’t sell. I skimmed a lot of details surrounding the game but you can learn more about Battle Spirit Saga from Kohdok video covering it.

the original story for chaotic: now or never reminds me a lot of mtg's brothers war which was novelized in 98. 2 brothers gain access to alternate plane & seek power via artifacts and spellcraft

I always wondered what happened to Chaotic, I just thought it people got tired of it rather than it just being recession related. But that thought also always seemed invalid because when chaotic went down we got Redakai which always felt like a diluted chaotic to me, and that did well for a bit
@ImEpialos10 ай бұрын
Funny enough the online game was one of the first fully fleshed out online card games. I played a lot as a kid and still have my collection of the cards it was such an interesting and very simple and enjoyable card game that gave more value to the cards due to the codes you could enter into the online client. It is sad the game failed truly was ahead of its time in my opinion.
@danielmokobia10610 ай бұрын
If the game does return the best market for this game would be an online client with the tcg it will bring in a lot of new players or people never heard of the game.

also 4kids was going thru a lawsuit with Konomi , witch is were i believe the chaotic lawsuit came from.
@SgvSth10 ай бұрын
4Kids was not going through a lawsuit with Konami. The lawsuit 4Kids was going though was the one brought by TV Tokyo, Nihon Ad Systems and Asatsu-DK. Nihon Ad Systems produced the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, TV Tokyo aired the anime in Japan, Asatsu-DK licensed the anime outside of Japan, and all three jointly held the rights to Yu-Gi-Oh with other companies like Konami. Since the issue did not involve the actual trading cards, Konami didn't participate in the lawsuit as a Plaintiff. There are no details about any Chaotic lawsuit online. The only thing I can find is that 4Kids shut down TC Digital in the third quarter of 2010 to save some money, which caused the Chaotic products that they were creating/managing to come to a halt. 4Kids held the licensing for parts of Chaotic and kept it post-bankruptcy, with it not returning to the original creators until somewhere in the mid-2010s.

While it is nice to see Chaotic announcing it's return, I don't think it should do so the way things are now, what with the cancel pigs making everything an echo chamber on how things should be gay, lame, diverse, etc. If Chaotic returned during that time, it would be hijacked by extreme activists that want to use the new reboot show as a tool to 'send a message'. You wouldn't want all that shoved down your throat every five minutes when you just want to enjoy a story, would you? Maybe Chaotic is developing it's reboot, its just staying quiet until this current era of social engineering kicks the bucket.

Hm. *looks back at the Men vs Women battle episode* If the writer's are tough and stick to havong fun and a good story, they might poke fun at the crazies that are nipping at their ankles. Buuuut i understand your reservations, the last thing this franchise needs is to step out and immediately turn off the base by bringing human issues to Perim in a way that isn't Players interacting with a different world and society.
