2023. Just discovered these guys maybe 5-6 years ago, and holy hell! They have blown me away with everything I’ve heard thus far. Especially “Know Hope” & “Hold On Pain Ends”! I listened to both albums constantly as I was going through the loss of my mother & divorce & loss of my dog (2017 was a bitch)! But these songs helped me and meant so much to me, and they continue to carry me and inspire to this day. Still a staple in my regular playlist. Thank you guys (TCM) for doing what you do! You bring comfort and hope to the masses, and that’s what it’s all about. And f*kn just rocking the hell out 🤘

I honestly can't listen to their new stuff. Their first 2 albums (We All Have Demons & My Devil in Your Eyes) are really powerful and unique in their own way. It seperated the band from the metalcore cookiecutter bands (I am looking at you Asking Alexandria & Capture the Crown) with their meaningful lyrics and catchy sound. I listen to both albums on a weekly basis. It never gets boring. Their new stuff isn't as good. The screaming parts are not on point as it used to be. I will always love this band for how they influenced my youth and I want to thank them for it. Now I look back at the golden age of Metalcore. It makes me extremely nostalgic about a time where bands were doing cool shit and not just selling out. Not saying The Color Morale sold out, but I feel they chose a more safe sound compared to their first 2 albums. I am longing for a new We All Have Demons albums, but I know this will never happen. I have heard that they do not like their original sound anymore. It's a shame, because for me, that is the true TCM sound.
@cro5086 жыл бұрын
I agree. Their first 2 albums were amazing. But they were never really metalcore. Post-hc at best. They are also awful live. The singer sounds nothing like on the albums. It's a shame.
@xXWinter720Xx6 жыл бұрын
@@cro508 I wouldn't call them anything other than Metalcore, to be honest. That said, Know Hope is my personal favorite and it's where, I think, they really developed their own identity (mostly because of Garret maturing as a vocalist though). First two albums are fantastic in their own right, but I think that style was on its way out. I enjoy Desolate Divine as well, but I'd love to hear more riffier stuff, assuming they're not done for good.
