The sound is very cigarette 70's pubs style. Crazy cool!

16:48 Shades of ‘Hots On For Nowhere’ (Presence, 1976) 🔥 I think Marc Bolan would’ve dug it, as well…🙌 Cool distorter box! Those harmonic overtones😮

Wow, that's awesome, it sounds so unique. It makes a lot of sense that Sola Sound made pedals for Orange back in the day. Congrats on the new release of this beast 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

After watching your videos now I know how to learn a new fuzz... Attack to zero and go up from there.

Sounds like danelectro grilled cheese distortion but you can change the wah filter on the danelectro.dod flashback fuzz is similar too

This unit is killer on bass. It does remind of the blend circuit on a Orange bass amp. That makes sense now that I know the history…. Thanks for all you do.

Does this pedal have enough midrange?

Reminds me of Jethro Tull guitarist Martin Barre, the Inside/Aqualung era. Perhaps the name originates from one of their songs, Dharma For One🤔

What was the name of the original pedal and could you purchase them in the 70s or it never left the design department? They are only making 50 items? so its a limited edition pedal only for the rich
@macaris_official Жыл бұрын
the original as i mention in the video was called the Dharma Sound Distorter and yes I believe you could buy them . I try to make pedals for everyone - I come from a family of generations of musicians and feel really strongly about it - but they are hand made in the UK by some of the finest builders in the World using the finest components so they are not going to be the price of a mass produced unit . just for the rich ? I hope not - our fuzz pedals start at £ 200 - this one is £400 ( plus vat and carriage ) and I would imagine will never be worth a single penny less - it's not a small amount of money but its hard to image what else you could buy that would hold its value so well , look and sound so damn good and give you so much pleasure ( if anyone's going to answer that - keep it clean !! ) :) Ant

@@macaris_official it sounds like frank Zappa used this pedal in the 70s that cocked wah fuzz. It would have been nice if the new designer added in an adjustable mix control for the cocked wah EQ to blend it in the ratio amount. The new pedal design engineer can add a control to adjust how "boxy" the tone can be.

They are expensive. They are built by some of the best builders in the world using only top notched matched components. When examined closely you can’t help but notice this. I consider them works of art. They will never be worth less than you paid for them. Then there’s the sound. Sola Sound is a part of musical history, early music history. When you add it all up the price is not only fair but inconsequential.

Why do you people have to keep making expensive effect pedals that make me want to buy them?!
