Squad strike is actually really good for competitive. It motivates people to learn different characters that cover a variety of matchups and it takes a ton of skill to be able to switch between characters mid set and adapt your play style to your opponents picks as well. Honestly a great game mode that should definitely be taken more seriously

Yeah, I figured this was the logic behind it. A character that never stays grounded doesn't have to worry about banana shenanigans and a lot of other ground based set-ups Diddy has. But Puff is just an all around worse character in every way, so didn't really matter.

The thing with Puff vs Diddy is, they are really even until 80ish %, thats when Diddy gets the upper hand in the MU cuz dtilt into usmash and banana fsmash starts killing, otherwise they kinda just trade blow for blow

As a diddy main, playing puff at early percent is annoying as you can’t get your really good banana combos as consistently but as percents get higher diddys kill confirms kill earlier and win him the matchup

I don't think so for Peanut. He seems like a good sport and usually gives the other player props, but at the same time I've seen him make quite a few passive aggressive excuses for some of his Ls. Usually about how he misinput, and not long ago in a matador rematch he basically passively rage quit and went Cloud on last game(a rage quit because he later said he has never even used Cloud, it wasn't like it was a pocket/secondary he's been planning on).

I mean he kind of takes the L and he says he messed something up but that’s fair cuz he messes up one thing with little Mac and that’s basically a stock. I mean Leo and sparg0 have good mentality but like I feel like peanut has more to mentally deal with. I remember like during frostbite 2020 Leo mentioned how he went to losers and just thought “oh I’m not winning this one” and still won. Like he still tried his best but his mentality was kind of negative which happens to the best of us. Peanut over here gets camped by some annoying ass character and he has to keep himself from losing patience even if he’s down. Like other people may actually have better mentalities but peanut has so many disadvantages with his character yet he sticks to it and keeps his cool during the matches.

Bruh, I feel like a low-key Smash Guru. There are certain character I preached early on were easily high tier and just underutilized, just to have people always give half ass rebuttals to make arguements and call them mid tier. Before Leo started destroying with Joker I made a lot of post about how Joker is THE best character, then number 1 player proves it couple months later. Predicted G&W was a top 10 and has almost no losing match-ups, Maister takes tourneys by storm later that year and lands top 10 on pgr. Diddy was another one I figured was going to be a late meta top tier when someone good enough picked him up. Also predicted that both Ike and Inkling were only early meta threats and would dip a lot in relevance.
