Finally going to get this watch by Christmas. Tried it on over a year ago because I like the design, very clear dial like the lense is a magnifying glass, analogue seconds hand, weight, textures, feel and fit... but it felt too big. Tried it on today and it was PERFECT. Been wearing a GX56 for a couple of weeks now, and suddenly I'm ready for this watch. It just feels like I won't take it off for weeks. It's quicker and easier to read analogue display watches. Those rugged colors. And my current view on Solar vs battery is, solar is still a battery. Just a longer lasting battery. You will eventually have to replace it too.

Yes, the GX56 is bigger on wrist than the GGB100. I find the latter comfier. I've actually just recorded a couple of comparison video of the mudmaster, gravity master and King G. My favourite is mudmaster

I own this watch and i got it at Macy's for $230 and after a $100 gift card i got at work i ended up only paying $130. So at that price it's my daily watch ⌚️ and I'm a truck driver and it more than handles whatever life throws at it. I truly love it and came up

Have the grey with positive display since Christmas. Great watch, will be annoying to send off for a battery change down the line like you say, band doesn't bother me. The lume is slightly more lacking on the grey, the outer ring has no lume, but the hands are still fine. I also love the sheer size/quality of the screen. It fits proper world time with seconds intact, a fair few g-shocks don't, and if you long press the light during world time, the hands will switch home time with world time, no need to fiddle changing the time whole travelling, great feature!

Yes its a fantastic watch. I went with green band version because of the legibility of the dial, but I want the orange band version also!

I really don't get why on earth you want altimeter and compas without a proper gps functionality. It's absolutely pointless. These features the 3-sensor watches are sold with are a huge gimmick. A waste Especially in models like the mudmaster and the pro trek series. Even the climbing series are sold without sapphire glass. In CLIMBING series!? (...) what is the Casio logic?

I bought the orange strap version. its stunning. Its one o my favs.I bought mine when they came out and to date the battery is fine. I especially wear it when i am open water swimming and it gives very accurate water temp. great watch, stunning looks.

Replaced my GWG-1000 with the GGB-100, for me, a much better choice. Definitely love the Mineral Glass on the 100 as opposed to the Sapphire Crystal on the 1000. In my work environment sparks are an issue. Although I obviously could've been more careful, but was shocked to see that the Sapphire Crystal on the 1000 became pitted when hit by a few sparks during a metal grinding process while working. Not sure if the Mineral Glass is any more resilient, but the functionality, looks and comfort of the GGB-100 makes it easily my favorite of the two.

I owned one of those, the band tired and hurt my writs after long use, and I stop using it almost completely. It is strange, since I own more than a dozen G's, 3 with steel bracelets that never hurt or tired my wrist as mush as this one, I suspect the width and stiffness of the band is the problem; a more aggressive tapper and a polyurethane band like the GBD-200's could be a great improvement for a newer version. Hope Casio is reading! 🧐 I loved the design and looks of it and the impressive functionality, never owned one with so many functions. Mine was the one with orange bands and grey-out indices, yours has a better looking dial, with all bright-white indices, but the 'forest green' band is horrid as is difficult to match with my clothing style and/or colors.

I wear it loose and for that it is super comfy for me now, I forget it's there! Agree the band is not for everyone though, good job there's aftermarket options!

I have the gwg 2K and the first thing to go was the plastic strap. Replaced it with an ISOPHANE rubber strap.

The lack of solar power is the only major downside of this Mudmaster watch. It would easily be the best one in the entire lineup if it did come with Tough Solar, instead of only having a 2 year battery life.

I bought it new two and a half years ago and it has not been necessary to change the battery, add to that the time it has been working since it left the factory. With proper care you can replace the battery yourself in 15 minutes for $1.

I'm going to be picking this particular Mudmaster up later this week. Decided to go with the GG-B100 A3ER, I like the Khaki Strap, Gold Computer Button, Red Pressure sensor and yellow accents on the dial. I've been after a G Shock for numerous years and have loved this one since it came out in 2019. I was originally put off by its large size, having owned a Garmin Fenix 5 and 6 Pro Solar. My issue with those watches was the constant charging every week and my wrist having a reaction to the strap material. For me the Mudmaster is built like a Sherman Tank, takes whatever you can throw at it! I love the outdoors and will use it's features in the future when I'm able to return to the hills. Love the Carbon Core Guard Structure alone with the Carbon Resin appearance. I've managed to secure one at £235 on a price match at H-Samual. I'm going register of for the guarantee on Casios site and then look at seeing how much a care plan is for the watch for future usage where a battery has to be replaced, if the battery has to be changed it's worth doing a service by replacing gaskets and seals at the same time.

BUT and this is BIG BUT IT ces with a PLASTIC yes PLASTIC STRAP and it a challenge to change it. Unlile the gwg 2K strap which is easy to change w adapters. Forget the review the strap sucks

It's more to do with the functions and battery levels of capacity of the watch if using a solar battery. That's what ive read anyway

Lost all confidence in this GG-B100 watch as hour, minute & seconds hands stopped working 1 month after purchase. And it's not the battery, it's a module failure. I've never had a watch fail like this, and I bought this thing for durability and reliability. Glad I wasn't hiking in the woods! Happy with my GST-B100 solar though, I'll keep that one.
