Thank you very much! Only one question came up to surface: what about when there is a degree of equality between two things (or people) that are being compared? How would you say for example: I am AS GOOD AS you are in Ukrainian? or I have AS MUCH/MANY AS you have? Thank you in advance.

Hi! Great explanation. Will these comparative adjectives also change with the case of the noun?

would it be odd for me to say "новший" instead of "новіший"? as i'm learning ukrainian, i'm relying heavily on my polish intuition, and this time it totally led me astray. ;) as we have "nowy (нови)" for "new", "nowszy (новши)" for "newer" (here: "sz" is a diphthong for "ш" -- very, very common in polish [i was once told by a foreigner, that polish sounds to him like a tongue of serpents. ;p]), and "najnowszy (найновши)" for "newest".

You are superb teacher, i dont doubt it. One thing tho, shouldn’t it be старший ?

Actually, I have a question about this lesson. How can I use the comparative degree with 2 subjects? For example, how would I say, "this coffee is cheaper than the other."
@LearnUkrainianLanguage6 жыл бұрын
Ця кава дешевша, ніж та
@danielfaust40966 жыл бұрын
I see. So ніж is a preposition, and та is a demonstrative pronoun, meaning I can replace та with any noun. Thank you so much!

It is not hard. In Tagalog, all verbs have this same idea but it can be a prefix and infix or a suffix. Then the root of the verb might change too AND in all tenses...
