The statue can reached when you walk between the Nikoloz Baratashvili Bridge (love bridge) and liberty/freedom square, I recommend walking between them.

I recommend booking a hotel near by goo.gl/maps/5f... as most of the local tour agents are here, tour pickup and drop off point is here, and cheaper food and souvenirs are all at a walkable distance too.
