Your channel about Palermo is an absolute standout amongst this genre. I wish other cities had their own Nico, especially Messina.

Gracie Nico, we’re flying into Palermo on 9th Sept, spending a few days at Cefalu, then Taormina and back to Mondello for 5 nights. We plan to have a car for the whole time but wondering what parking is like on Mondello during September. Is it free street parking, or something else? Also, how do I get hold of your premium guide for best accommodation and restaurants? Ciao, Grant.

So excited to come to Mondello! We are staying up in the mountains with a shuttle to palermo and a rented car. My question is, the dates we are going are September 26th til October 3rd, will we be able to go to restaurants and bars in Mondello around this time?

Ciao! You're just hitting the tail end of the season, but don't worry-restaurants and bars in Mondello will still be open around that time

Ciao Nico, I am going to viwit Palermo in October (5-13.10). What di you think? Is is enough warm to swim? And will the bars and restaurants be open or is it already the emd of the season? Grazie mille!
@WeArePalermo4 ай бұрын
Ciao! In early October, the weather is usually still good for the beach, with daytime temperatures around 23-25°C (73-77°F). However, since it’s already early autumn, the weather can be a bit unpredictable. In recent years, October has been a month when people still went to the beach, but it’s not guaranteed-you’d only know for sure closer to your trip. As for bars and restaurants, they’ll be open, but keep in mind it’s already the end of the season, so you’ll find very few people around, especially in the evenings. If you’re looking for nightlife, you’ll need to head into the city, as Mondello will be pretty quiet. But if you’re after peace and just want some nice places to eat and have a drink without the crowds, it’s perfect. It depends on what you're looking for!

Grazie Nico. Ho arrivato a Palermo 5 giorni fa e vado a Mondello domani per una settimana. Abbiamo una villa molto vicino alla spiaggia publica e un bar. Quale ristorante ti consiglio. E mi dispiace per la lingua, sto imparando..

Ciao amico mio! Grazie a te per il commento. Scrivi in italiano benissimo!

google maps say's it's more like a 34 minutes drive and over an hour by bus..

Ciao! My times are just approximate because the exact travel time can vary a lot depending on the specific address, traffic conditions, and the time of day. The historic center of Palermo is big, so it's tough to account for every point and address. Generally, it’s about 15-20 minutes by car to the start of the city center

Ciao Grant! Parking in Mondello during September is a bit quieter during the week, but it can get busy on weekends. You'll find some free parking, but it's not easy to find spots close to the beach. There are also blue parking zones where you have to pay, so check out this link for more info: wearepalermo.com/news/vehicle-parking-palermo/. There are private paid parking lots too, where you can pay a day fee. For accommodations, you can check this out: wearepalermo.com/where-to-stay-palermo/. The premium guide is available here: wearepalermo.podia.com/the-sicilian-way. If you're only interested in restaurants, here's the link for that: wearepalermo.com/restaurant-guide/. But honestly, if you're just staying in Mondello and not planning to go into the city, you probably don't need any guide. Mondello is small and easy to navigate. Ciao, Nico
