The funny thing about TGCF is that I'm pretty sure that almost everyone who watched the show without any prior knowledge assumed that it would be a gay chinese soap opera, but instead got smacked with ghouls and stuff, lol

“Drowning in water and debt.” Guys…. did he just…. accidentally describe Black Water? Oh that is gold.
@polly_213
I love how he changed from "Demons are cool" to "Get this lame shit out of my face" just because he wants more handholding scenes😭😭😭
@Alimex.
It's so funny to me that he thinks the long scenes is a budget thing but in reality it's just accurate to the books 😭 It takes 6 years to get to a new location every single time

I love how the Danny Motta community unanimously wanted Danny to watch Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation SPECIFICALLY because we knew he'd enjoy the zombies and fighting and instead Danny accidentally watched the wrong show, which also has zombies and fighting

"This guy's vanilla?!" is actually so goddamn funny considering the author confirmed that Hua Cheng is actually the best one in bed out of the three series she wrote

Xuan Ji (the ghost bride) is actually a lot more nuanced. He wasn’t such a huge douche as the dub makes him sound. He communicated to her at the beginning that he wasn’t looking for a committed relationship and she started to go obsessive. She broke her own legs to get his attention.

'Do not grope the corpses' is honestly a solid rule for all of MXTX works....

Yes, Chinese censorship is genuinely infuriating to all donghua fans, because MXTX, the writer of Mo Dao (Grandmaster) and Tian Guan (Heaven Official's), actually put a lot of detail and effort into the relationships between the main characters, and the studios are forced to tone it down because of the censors.
@animesvt1234
I wish MXTX could shift into a country where there arent any censorship and unleash her creative mind and allow us to consume all of it!!!!
@bayleecoles1091
I love that he made the same mistake we all made by calling the show "Heavens Official Blessing." It takes me back to when I first watched the show.
@julianneinducing3476
Interesting fact. San lang could mean "third son" but is also an affectionate way wives will address their husbands. I can't explain it fully without an essay but it's why Hua cheng prefers to be called San lang.

"I feel like this guy deserves a little more severity than your local hooligan".
@Anne-nk7xt
If you liked Heaven Official's Blessing, you HAVE to give Mo Dao Zu Shi a chance. It has ghouls, ghosts, politics, betrayal, the whole combo. It's amazing.
@RemiOrSomething
"What great lore for a throw-away enemy" Having read the books this is great.. She comes back to bite pei ming in the ass way later down, absolutely lovely how they all come back later down the line. Lmao

Danny: I'm going to finally react to the show you guys are sending me stuff for!

Mo Dao Zu Shi has zombies in it because the main guy can summon them with his flute, please watch it! ❤
@k.elaynepallist3997
I loved how outraged he was about Xie Lian’s stew of poison being kicked over by a soldier during the Banyue arc! I started yelling at the screen that he was doing everybody a favor by kicking that nightmare broth over.😂
@tutte3217
"this guy must be some kind of ghost king or what" That was so funny to me for no reason, I mean you werent wrong but getting it on the nail like that sounded so funny
