I find myself coming back to this channel over and over again throughout the years. It’s one of the greatest channels I’ve ever discovered, truly. This channel is always my go to whether I need some audio in the background, something to watch while eating, or just sit down and watch. It just never gets old, whether it’s the mortal Kombat series, god of war, Halloween, and now Friday the 13th. It’s one of the few channels that just feel real to me, with personality, and effort. I just appreciate this channel and everything it’s provided for me through many years.

Halloween truly is a special franchise, and despite some questionable decisions in some films, the OG ‘78 film and in my opinion the modern trilogy, are always awesome to watch in October and they always make me appreciate the Halloween holiday all the more🎃. Halloween is such a personal franchise for people. For me? My ranking hurts fellow Halloween fans. Rob’s H2 is my favorite, despite hating it at first. The original H2, I prefer to the original. Halloween 4 is my 2nd favorite, and Halloween 5 is my number 5. I don’t rank Resurrection last. But you know what? I love it when I see different opinions on Halloween. I love hearing the stories of how people came to be a Halloween fan and what films mean something to them. It’s a beautiful franchise, despite its issues. Great video!

Love that the last 3 films (blumhouse's halloween) mirrors the original 3 -the first being unsettling and built Suspense that's literally halloween 2018 -Halloween 2 continues the night and the level of gore was pumped up another notch and halloween kills also continued the night filling the 2018 and the gore was pumped up as well -halloween 3 has nothing to do with the first two and and halloween ends more less puts Micheal (the shape) far back and has nothing to do with the plot "MORE LESS"

Got a chance to listen to this yesterday while working around the house. To give you a little bit of insight regarding Halloween 3, I was a teen when it released and it was not what we were expecting. We obviously didn't have the internet, we had magazines, the Sunday newspaper with a huge entertainment pullout section, and a show that aired nightly, Entertainment Tonight, aka ET, so we were limited on what we heard or read. The word was that Michael wasn't going to be in the movie, but like some, there was no way that would happen... The movie was shredded by most of us, including most reviews during that time, and of course the shamrock song, forty years later, I can still recite that song... lol History wound up being on that movie's side though, as it slowly garnered more and more praise for what it attempted. Anyway, very good video, knew most of what you discussed, but also learned a few things.

I'm not knocking you at all for this, just an observation. The only thing that keeps this from being at the same level as Crystal Lake Memories or Never Sleep Again is the lack of interviews with actors, directors, etc. That's a budgetary issue and not a quality issue. This is still aa fantastic watch!

Awesome Retrospective! I agree with most of your opinions on this franchise so that made it much easier to listen while I'm at work! I will say, H5 has some nostalgia for me. I don't like the movie at all and yes, it does get ridiculous but it's one I always have to include when I watch the series. I told myself years ago I would never watch Resurrection again because it's so horrible, but as well made as Ends is, I would watch Resurrection again a million times over before I watch Ends again. I had people apologizing to ME after Ends came out because they watched it and enjoyed the last 2 and knew how much I loved them, just for this to take a massive shit on this story. Lol They had Hawkins all set up to be involved in taking out Michael, it would have been the perfect arc for him to come back and be a part of that. Allyson and Laurie are just completely different characters and it makes no sense. Ends should have taken place on the same night, picking back up right as Laurie is walking through the hospital doing her monologue. I've never been more disappointed with a movie before. I stand by my take that 2018 is THE Best sequel in the franchise and I love Kills so much. It still pisses me off thinking about it lol Anyway this was fun! I was always a huge fan of Halloween 3. The story, the set production, everything. If it had merely been called season of the witch, it would be a classic. But the Halloween association clearly hampered it.

i've watched the previous videos of this, and like before, awesome job, i wanna share my thoughts on a couple of opinions of some of the movies Halloween 1 and 2: both are instant classics, love them both to death, the music, thrills and chills are perfect, and Donald Pleasence nailed it as Dr. Loomas. Halloween 3: I have to agree with you on this one, the different take on the franchise is a great concept, and i'm gonna be honest, had they went this route instead of bringing back Michael Myers, it would've been one hell of a franchise, imagine all of the different horror stories, all the different tales that were made to creep you out, like for example, them doing a Lovecraft type horror tale, a demonic horror tale, tales from creepy abandoned asylums, their take of zombie outbreaks, mutants of Chernobyl, creepy and haunting spirits in forests, horrors in the deep oceans, and i can go on and on and on on different ideas that could be used had this anthology came to be Halloween 4 thru 6: This is when the series literally went straight to hell, 4 was ok, but 5 and 6, yeah it was terrible, and in the words of Phelous in his review of Halloween 6, "Michael, you sick uncle F*CK!!!!!" Halloween H20 and Resurrection: H20 was great, even though Halloween franchise should've ended there, as for resurrection.......yeah, i have to agree with you, Akkad was the real reason the Halloween series went to hell after Halloween 3, (even though Halloween 4 isn't bad by any means), but like i mentioned in part 2 of the history of Halloween, it should've been an anthology like series, instead of each one having Michael Myers coming back over and over again for some bullsh*t reasons... The Halloween 1 and 2 Remake: Those were plain awful, Rob Zombie may be good as a musician, but when it comes to making movies.......that's another story The Recent Halloween Movies: Well, at least it ended for good and gave one final closure of Michael Myers and let Lourie Strode be in peace, though they're not perfect, all i can say is thank the lord Michael Myers is forever dead now, now they should make Halloween as an Anthology series again, but that may never happen again.........

Halloween Kills doesn't retcon anything. He still has all the matching bullet wounds from Loomis shooting him. After he falls off the balcony, when he disappeared, he started walking back home. Which is what he was always doing: walking back home.

I'll go a step further and say that when i think Michael Myers mask....#2 with the slightly slant eyes is the mask that is scariest to me and mask I love most and one most synonymous w Michael for me.
