Talking and playing is tough, explaining what you’re doing while playing is brutal haha. You’d think it would be easier than talking about something random but it’s just not. I think I learned something here. I knew about the jump back strategy but I’ve been doing it mostly wrong. I am in the camp of “it’s just not fun to play that way” but if I can mix up my cheese moves I might enjoy it more. Great work at always!

Videos like this make me want to get the MK arcade cabinet for mk3 ultimate. As a kid, I worked my up to over 75 consecutive wins with a quarter. Learned the AI habits and still remember them to this day. Thank you for the content.

You kind of do it a very straight way. For me, the way I win a lot is just being unpredictable with my moves, and being aggressive when the opponent is open. For example there's this one thing I've done sometimes, especially on kitana and baraka, where when they shoot a projectile, I jump over it and duck right next to them, then when they throw it again I go for the uppercut, which will always work once you get to that point even on the toughest difficulty. Some other stuff, with johnny's ball buster and subzero's slide, you can sometimes use these moves when the ai is pounding you with punches instead of blocking so that way you don't get stuck. The ball buster I also use sometimes because it's harder for the ai to anticipate it. Subzero's slide I use after every jump kick and uppercut to get extra damage. Raiden's superman I've had success with when doing it at weird heights, sometimes the ai counters with an immediate fireball but sometimes it doesn't. Shao Kahn, when I go against him, always seems pretty easy if you just block his charges, and he is also very easy to combo. For example one time with subzero I kept spamming the roundhouse kick on him when he got stuck in the corner and he couldn't do anything about it. I would say the easiest character for me is baraka, cause I can just do the chop chop when things get dicey.

I'm definitely an average player, even back in the days I always got my ass whooped by the other kids at the arcade and lose all my quarters. I've always loved the this game. I started playing it again in 2019 when Arcade 1up came out with it. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼

When i hit the live button, the game continues in the background but when I see Darryl hit the live button, it actually pauses it, what am I doing wrong?

If you are in an online game or in someone else’s game online (whether they are playing or not) then the game will continue in the background. If you are playing single player, or offline then the live button will pause the game.

It’s great especially when using Scorpion and Subzero. With Scorpion it sets them up for HP HP teleport, harpoon, uppercut, before they even touch the ground.

Only certain characters can you do the jump back then let them jump into you strat .Don't know why but that's the way it was .

I do find cage easiest with the jump back move but I duck and jump back at the latest moment as shown here. Often they'll try throw a couple of high punches Kintaro I find ridiculously hard even with your original video Have a nice day!
