The Complete K9 Review (it was very bad)

As you may have guessed from the title, this was quite a rough one. Firstly because I had to actually watch the K9 series, secondly because by the time I had finished it, there'd been such little that had actually happened that I can barely even talk about it (there are NO plot or character developments throughout the entire 26 episode series), thirdly because of the multiple copyright headaches it caused me and finally... the lack of HD images for this show! There are NONE and it made editing this video a massive pain in the ass. Even K9 and Company has high quality promo stills and that show is from 1983. Either way, I hope you can take pleasure in my anguish and enjoy the video

the k9 and company theme is an inspired masterpiece. no single show out there could dream to have a theme song that objectively good

I like how both Terry Nation & Bob Baker both wanted to get there own creations a spin off & neither got that. Bob almost had it with K-9 & co but the a-holes in charge of the BBC decided despite it being the most watched shows something at the time he'd not pick it up & Terry tried everything to get a show. He made Daleks have unique enough characters. He did the chase to show there scope. He did the Daleks Master Plan I think to try another time & I know he wanted Evil of the Daleks to be the end of the Daleks on doctor who & start of there own spin off. However they'd never get that & instead he had 4 daleks that'd be left to rot in his house as they randomly went out when hired & all. daleks 63 88 or something like that has videos on that for anyone interested in the history of the props & oddly interesting videos on Dalek spotting.

You talking about the Class intro makes me realise I still got its song stuck in my head even tho I watched it once in 2016 Anyway neat that they made a spinoff of K9 called "Doctor What" or something.. sounds interesting but it probably won't hold up a candle to K9 Adventures

this and some episodes of the sarah jane series was unironically my first exposure to anything doctor who and i kinda wanted to rewatch it years later just to see how it holds up to adult me but now i think i’m probably gonna regret it even more that originally thought, it’s like this video is bringing repressed memories,,,,,,,,,,

honestly, episode 16 "the cambridge spy" if watched like a hartnell historical episode isnt that bad in my opinion but to each their own. great vid!

We all love K-9 but I just think he's not strong enough of a Charakter to have his own show. Either you pair him with someone like Sara Jane smith or you need a really really good supporting cast. A 2010 Idog redesign won't help that I fear
