In two words: Boss dies, solid snake tries to complete he's dreams. In the process, he makes a clone of him self. Venom snake that makes her own military, outer heaven? If in right? Then, venom snake is "better" than solid snake. He "dies" in the fight vs solid snake. Oh, solid snake had clones. And al of the clones had some kind of virus. And they are gonna die soon. Aha. Ocelot, turns to liquid ocelot. And, he becomes the bad guy. Solid snake becomes old really fast. He fights liquid ocelot and kills him, ending the bad stuff. Oh, i forgot to mention that raideb is here. And he is a cyborg. After all the evil is gone, solid snake stands on the grave of the boss (the very first boss) He needs to kill himself, but in the process, he can't do it. Looks like venom snake is still alive. By changing the morals of venom snake, he dies. Venom snake stops smoking. The end

Liquid Ocelot was mostly due to the fact that the Japanese Seiyuu who portrays (Elderly) Ocelot, had died (in real life) a couple years prior to the production of MGS4. And Kojima being somewhat loyal to the Japanese voice acting of MGS, didn't want to have someone else taking the role. So, yeah, it has more to do with a real life death of a voice actor, for why liquid Ocelot. The original script was supposed to be him flipping between liquid and ocelot.

The best ever video i watched about video games!! Its like im traveling back in time while watching. All those memories, friends that im with those times when those games were released, how my life was totally different back then, my ex-girlfriends both who support and those who's pissed off coz i spend more time playing even when were together (according to them LOL 😂). Man... I'm in the middle of playing MGS5 (only played MGS2 and 3, parts of 1, skipped 4 entirely bc no ps3) and I just hate Solid Snake for killing Venom Snake. After all the hell he got put through, building up a legendary mercenary group, only to get stopped by Solid Snake under orders of real Big Boss despite Big Boss being the one that put him in that position. Just watched part 1 almost done with part 2. I love this game and learning as much as I can about it and honestly I learn new stuff every time I look back into it watching videos like urs. One thing i would add but I understand why u wouldn't have time or energy to get into is Grey Fox and Naomi arnt real siblings. Grey Fox aka Cyborg Ninja (one of my favorite characters in the series) was on a battle field and was responsible for killing Naomi's parents so he felt guilty (showing how Grey Fox has always struggled with missions and morals) so he "adopted" Naomi and I guess pretended to be her brother. But regardless u did an amazing video and I applaud u for ur work

One thing that might be confusing for someone is how you mention that Ocelot got a hold of Big Boss' body but don't explain that it was actually Solidus, not Big Boss who we see alive at the end.

I still believe that Liquid taking over Ocelot was because Ocelot had a deep connection to spirits, and the supernatural since his father was The Sorrow. Because of the arm transplant, Liquid can force his soul into Ocelot because he was not trained to use his talents as a medium, and due to that, cant defend his body from posession.

It's never said why Ocelot chose a natural arm transplant rather than a bionic one like Venom's, and why he chose Liquid's specifically. It's almost like he knew he inherited spirit medium powers from The Sorrow and used Liquid's arm deliberately...but then he says stuff like "there's no such thing as the supernatural" (possibly a reference to the parasites??). So....whu...?

i think the idea isn't that the arm itself transferred liquid's personality into ocelot's brain, it's that any of liquid's tissue carried stem cells with liquid's genome that could basically modify ocelot's brain at a genetic level. it still doesn't explain how the arm somehow had all of liquid's recent memories, but i think a lot of people came to the conclusion that it was sort of a placebo. not really the right word but neither is psychosomatic or hypochondriacal. but it's like that, the arm did have some effect on ocelot's brain but probably a pretty mild effect. but that caused him to convince himself that he really was liquid snake and so he integrated everything he knew about liquid snake into his own self-image, and basically unconsciously adjusted his own thoughts, habits, mannerisms, etc. to be more in line with liquid's. so partially placebo, partially real. and then it's also possible that there's just something unique about liquid's physiology, or ocelot's for that matter, which enabled that to happen when it wouldn't normally happen in reality.

I'm fairly sure you got the gene combinations of the clones backwards. Liquid is the one with the chip on his shoulder because he's got the recessive genes, which in Japanese translates to Inferior Genes. Solid is the one who's got the dominant genes.

Except in the ending of MGS Ocelot says that "the inferior one won after all". Three possibilities here: 1) Kojima missed that blonde hair is generally recessive... so twist that Liquid had the dominant genes all along is real, but we have to handwave his hair color (he could have dyed hair or have it burned-out by the sun). 2) Ocelot's quip makes no sense and Liquid had recessive/inferior genes (same word in Japanese) and Solid had dominant/superior. 3) Liquid had recessive genes that turned out to be superior (won't be first time someone claimed blue eyed blondes genetics are aryan), while Solid had dominant, but inferior genes. This is the only way to headcanon everything without contradictions.
