You know what's cool? The golf mk 4 has a special coating that prevents rust bc the golf mk3 was a rust bucket so they (zinked?!?? I think but i don't know) my dad also has one (a 2.0 natural aspirated) it's pretty fast for a natural aspirated car)

I owned a 1.8T 25th Anniversary #441, had an awesome 3 years driving and modifying it, still probably one of the best cars I've ever owned. You've done a good job of your GTI, US Spec Rear lights would look great. I had a non res turbo back Milltek and it sounded unbelievable! Get a Sharon badge for the rear, you can color code the back of them and it looks great.And a set of illuminated Bora vents transforms the interior, they're really easy to wire up. Also clean your throttle body if it hasn't been done, it made a huge difference on mine! This makes me want to get another MK4.

You'll notice on older tuned mk4s that the boost really tapers hard when the stock fuel pump gets weak. Just adding an inline 255 made a night and day difference with holding boost k03s. Excellent Channel, Subscribed!

I got a 2001 Golf GTi 2.0 and projector headlights are my favourite and that’s my best modification I ever had on my Mk4 Golf!😊 I used to have some second handed headlights for 90 quid but they are a waste of time due to condensation build up so badly and the brightness are so dim due to burnt out reflective surface. So, I put the old units back in for a bit and I brought some brand new ones in for £168 on eBay and they light up so much better and less condensation!! They are a-lot brighter especially I’m currently run some LED bulbs in!!😊 Took in for MOT with LEDs in projector and it passed! I’m well happy with them!

I was in your position a few years ago and finally ended up with a mk4 golf stage 5 Tdi. 1) go with an electronic cut out so you can go straight pipe or quiet as stock with a switch. 2)I went with the Audi TT front suspension swap and it’s not with it. The big rotors and calipers looks great but the added weight did not offset the extra braking power, our cars will never be fast enough to need it. Get some good aggressive pads instead. 3) get a good NAME BRAND upgraded clutch that’ll hold more than your current goals, you’ll more than likely need it down the line. Do it once, do it right. Your car looks great 👍🏼

Look towards Beach buggy turbos and see if you can justify buying a K250 or K300 hybrid turbo. Straight bolt on to replace the standard K03 turbo. I have a K300 on my 1.8T swapped Mk2 golf and after I put a BAM inlet manifold, S3 Injectors/Fuel Rail and VR6 fuel pump it made 310whp on the dyno.

I have a 04 mk4 with 2.5 down pipe and 2.5 high flow resinator then 3 in cat back with 3in muffler boss muffler and it like yours at idle but screams towards top and has the crackel pop

Ermm a cone filter will bring in heat, get original box back and good panel filter

Some truth to that. But in a turbocharged car with a front mount intercooler, the air is getting heated up so much getting compressed by the little turbo working so hard that it is irrelevant. The intercooler plays a much bigger role IMO. And the stock airbox on the 1.8t is rumored to only be sufficient for the k03. Once you fit a k04, which most serious enthusiasts do. A aftermarket turbo inlet pipe and 3" cone filter, along with a proper heat shield is a better choice. The 034 Motorsports intake is the best for the mk4 IMO.

Best mods on a gti. Upgrade turbo k3 or k4 Wastegate Dumpvalve Upgraded intercooler 680cc injectors 60mm exhaust Branches If you want mad power an aftermarket ecu. Mine made 220kw and got good fuel economy

What size of brake disc's do you have on car? For 312mm there is easy swap only new brake yoke, and new disc's 312mm with new brake pads. Cheers !
