The fact this is a free update and some folks are already complaining 🤦🏽‍♂️. No other company has given us this much post launch free additional updates for single player story game I’ll take whatever they give us.

You are right. They are giving a lot of free content and updates. I feel that is the best way forward for developers nowadays as season passes and life service game promises are generally not liked by the gaming community. I'm glad at how Shift Up is doing things. I think the first post-launch content that will cost $ will be the nier automata mashup dlc.

Nominations come out on November 13, we'll see. Black Myth Wukong had their own "issues" right before launch that have similarities to Stellar Blade, but I'm almost certain that Black Myth will get a GOTY nomination. That game was simply way too big to be ignored. We'll see about Stellar Blade thought. Would be nice, but I agree with you in that it most likely will not get a GOTY nomination.

Nice breakdown! I think some of the teasers from Twitter are also taken in photo mode, so that gives us additional information on its capabilities.

Just took a look. Looks like a few people took some screen captures of the summer area in the great desert. Was there other actual pictures taken in photo mode? Couldn't find any.

18:43 That's a good point, I hope Shift Up will give us unlimited freedom in Photo Mode Also, I have to mention that there is another photo mode trailer where we get a third example of the photo mode. This one has another pose of EVE called "OMG"

I hope we can simply group the cast into poses as opposed to what you're suggesting. Everything else about the photo mode seems great, so having to set a subject in the field of view takes the mode down a notch. Still looking forward to it, along with the Nier collab. The latter I will be happy just for the 2B outfit.

I would def love to see us be able to select/add in additional chars in some of these photos. I really would love to have Tachy, Eve, and Lily all together and even Kaya along with Enya and even D1G-g2r in a photo

You got some good ideas with the groupings of characters. Adding Digger and Spotter would add some humor to images.

Whatever decency the photo mode tries to maintain through possible restrictions... as soon as the game hits PC, it's all over anyway. That said, full camera controls won't reveal anything we haven't seen before and as such I'm not seeing an issue there, but on pc there will be plenty of untasteful mods (just like with RE2). Which is why I'm kinda in favour of a PS5 release only. However, I also want great sequels - which are more likely to happen if the game sells millions of copies, like Wukong did. Personally, I didn't enjoy Wukong nearly as much as Stellar Blade, but it hit the right nerve in China. In addition, Access Media tried to harm both games from the beginning and also excluded them from the golden joystick awards (like with Harry Potter before). Wukong absolutely deserves to be nominated for best visuals and best action game, while Stellar Blade should be nominated for best action-adventure, best soundtrack, best art direction and best new IP.

Wow, your comment is spot on about several things. Great post. Yes, I agree, once it goes to PC, we can expect to see some great mods. Very curious what the PC community can do with Stellar Blade there. Yea, what happened with both games before launch was, in my opinion, messed up. I do think both studios - Shift Up and Game Science - handled things to the best of their abilities. I like your thoughts about what categories they should be nominated for. I do think Black Myth Wukong should get a GOTY nomination. If Jeff Keighley doesn't give that game a GOTY nomination, I think it's a bad look. I know the arguments of why it most likely will not receive one, but honestly, that game was too big to ignore. For Stellar Blade, I agree with your categories, and I think it'll win best soundtrack for sure.

So far, the photo mode in Gravity Rush 2 has been my favorite, due to the online treasure hunting mini-game. But I also can't wait to play Stellar Blade a fourth time to take cool pictures everywhere. ^^ It's already my favorite action-adventure game of all time. But I've always liked video games with badass heroines that also looked sexy; Tomb Raider, P.N.03, Drakan: Order of the Flame, Lollipop Chainsaw, Bullet Witch, Bayonetta, Drakengard 3, Gravity Rush, Nier Automata, Claire in the RE2 Remake... all very fun gaming experiences. But Stellar Blade is my favorite and also has the best replay value.

All good games. If you're into RE2, playing as Jill in RE3 remake was fun but that game was super. short. Ada's story in the alternate path story of RE4 remake was pretty good too.

@@unlistednaytiba I've finished RE4 last week - including the dlc. I found the dlc even better than the main game. It had the better horror moments and the grappling hook made combat and exploration more fun. I also bought RE3 on release day - but I've yet to finish it. ^^

@@unlistednaytiba mostly the Punk style, the black version You get in lily's planet during your second playthrough along with the hairstyle that has a white flower on her head, i think she looks so cool to the point it's my favorite character design ever, before that i used the Red passion, extremely elegant and beautiful 🥰

If they really censor the photomode by reducing the zoom of some spots, not allowing full control or add blurry effect, it would be such an L and infuriat the entire community so much. This is an 18+ mature game, there are games out there that have full frontal nudity and sex scenes. There is no reason they would censor the possibilities with the photomode. If they do, then I bet this would be Sonys doing once again, like they forced to censor the outfits, because of their hypocritical and biased policy. Just to appease activists and journalists at social media

Honestly, I'm not interested in photo mode. It is for content creators for thumbnails and is for lewed lusty players that has Supply of Lotion and tissue I'm more interested and concerned about how Eve's blade is going to function, being that her blade is not in her hair while she's wearing a 2b outfit or it is replaced by a 2b blade I'm curious to know if we can wear only 2b headpiece and wear Eve's outfits with it Is curious to know about the dlc, will it be a new location, and new bosses and different enemies Will eve gain new abilities And more of the story that kept Secret.

In the super short trailer, it's hard to tell if the sword is hovering behind EVE's back like it does on 2B's back in Nier. And then to your other question, if you look at the title card at the end of the trailer, you can see some of the Nier Automata universe stuff in the Eidos 7, such as the ferris wheel. I'm thinking the DLC is going too have some wild story explanation of the universes colliding. I think it's going to be more than simply re-skins of the Stellar Blade universe. Hopefully we get some more preview info soon.

@@unlistednaytiba honestly , yoko taro is gonna have 2b fall through a portal and then when someone asks, he'll look them dead in the eyes with his mask and say " It is canon". on a serious note though. we don't know the extent the DLC will go to, Nikke had a NIER event that basically had 2b and 9s stepping through a portal and boom, they were there. I forgot how FFXIV tried to justify them getting into the world. but I can see some weird reason being thrown into the mix, with yoko taro trolling people when asked lol
