My guess is that the wol got goblins and kobolds mixed up, thinking about how the goblins fought with mechs in Alexander and the Longstop. But even still it's kind of a stretch.

While i always laugh at the "lol WOL has brain damage" theory i feel the real reason the primals all change their form is because we are summoning them in a reflection shard. While the concept of a primals existance may be the same from shard to shard the planets own interpretation of those primals reflect the forms they take. Especially when it can be assumed the 12 could also be weaker living cores of each shard as mommy hydealyn was the core and will of ehterys
@ChroniclerofLore2 жыл бұрын
They gave hints to why the primals were changing. We jump started Eden which was Mitron and as he gained a bit more awareness he was pouring more aether into the primals than Ryne had planned. We started with Leviathan and it wasn't all that different from what we fought on the Source but as we fought more and more he became more aware and we got Garuda and Ifrit looking totally different and far more powerful. The Cloud of Darkness was an exact copy of the minion that we were carrying around. I don't think we actually got to see what the primals that were native to that shard would have looked like if they weren't tampered with, but the fire primal may have been Belias on the first instead of Ifrit and such because like you said the concept is the same but the primals likely wouldn't have been.

while this is a very good summary, i have to say i HEAVILY disagree that ryne was “selfish” for wanting gaia back and that mitron wasn’t. logrif did make that promise to mitron, you’re right… but gaia is not the same person who made that promise. gaia is a 17 year old girl from eulmore who until about three hours before meeting him had no clue who he was. mitron, from my understanding, is kinda a microcosm of emet from msq; a man driven so mad by guilt and greif that he will do ANYTHING to reclaim the past that will never return to him. yes, he can force gaia to forget the memories she made in this life and inject her past life into her. but that’s still not HIS gaia, not HIS logrif; it’s a shade of the original. and yes, maybe ryne is a little selfish. ryne is also a 17 year old girl who until 3 years before msq (according to encyclopedia eorzea) was locked up in eulmore and was forced into a destiny she didn’t fully understand. and gaia was one of the few people who could even REMOTELY relate to that. forgive her if she does in fact act a tiny bit irrational when her closest friend who is actually on the first is forced to become someone neither of them actually recognize. i apologize if the tone of the comment is angry. i’m not mad at you, and like i said, otherwise this is a fantastic summary!
@ChroniclerofLore11 ай бұрын
I can understand your perspective however Gaia is the equivalent of a person with amnesia. Just because you make friends with this person when the person who knows who they really are shows up to restore their memories you would be the villain if you fought against them because you like the new version of them. This isn't exactly the same as Emet trying to kill all of the unsundered people to restore their completed versions. Mitron and Loghrif are sundered and have been since they were initially restored so this Gaia is the exact same as the one who he made his promise too. And since that promise was to restore them to who they were originally the only thing that makes Ryne and the others not be labeled as villains for keeping the 2 of them apart is the fact that they are Ascians. If they were 2 random Viera or Hyur who weren't planning to destroy a world no one would be able to justify Ryne thinking her friendship of a few days holds more weight than a relationship that spanned centuries and more.
@chargetrick9 ай бұрын
@@ChroniclerofLore I have to disagree with you in this instance, mostly because mitron was stealing gaia's memories of her time with you guys in order to make her take his side. that just feels messed up and controlling to me. if he had let gaia decide for herself whether she wanted to stay with him and return to the ascians, she probably would have honestly made that choice, but the fact that he feels the need to take away her human memories altogether so she won't decide to leave him is what makes me think ryne had the right of it. it's not fair for him to make her decisions for her by altering her perspective like that. hell, endwalker shows us an ascian who doesn't see himself as the convocation member he once was: fandaniel, who identifies far more with his former life as amon than as hermes. it's not unprecedented for ascians to not want to be reminded of their former lives, and in fandaniel/amon's case it probably only added to his very obvious issues. basically, i think it's messed up that mitron took those memories and that capacity to make the decision away from gaia, even if he did it out of some misplaced sense of protecting her. it should have been her choice. that's just my perspective though, I get if yours is different

Thank you for the video, was very entertaining and informative :3 I was just wondering if you knew/had an explanation for the what happens in e12s? Part 2 you fight Gaia as "The Oracle of Darkness" and I'm guessing its because Mitron again, dies when you defeat them combined but Gaia somehow regains *other* memories instead of sending Mitron off and before Ryne gets a chance to pull Gaia back to the first she transforms? just curious if you knew anything about it and what exactly the oracle of darkness is, thanks
