Online computer shopping? That was certainly a fad that would never catch on.

They are in such a hurry! They should either present fewer products or remove the computer news at the end...

I agree. I think the same thing. I originally thought well maybe they have a time limit. But In an interview stuart said it takes aprox hour and half to do an episode. So i was like.. why the rush on that show and teen segment. It’s annoying

23:51 - WOW. Tandy, Casio, AND GEOWORKS? And I guess Palm Computing got in on this thing, too, and it actually made it to market? That is wild, I had no idea!

I like the reasonablely priced TV board for the PC, but of course with the digital broadcast TV sub-channels that are around these days that board is probably outdated.

19:49 If you think about it Automap was an amazing product of the time. Seriously I would have bought it. So much more convenient than searching on a map. Even if you have to print it out first or like I like to do it, just memorize the whole route.

$800 for a digital camera that can store 30 pictures
@ezydenias85056 жыл бұрын
funny to think that my camera costed 500$ and could store 1000 Picturtes. The lenses are still pretty expensive trough.

Don't forget the resolution: 376x240, 8-bit grayscale. That's about 0.08 megapixels. XD

@@tetsujin_144 That's the sad part - some went straight to this and forego the film camera. Quite an error as all they have of precious irreplaceable memories are bad pixelated poor quality images vs if they had film it would've been so much better. Not to mention, many lost everything long ago due to lack of data backup storage costs and options.

In reality, it's only 'the other way arround' when economies of scale and significant manufacturing developments come into play. In that circumstance.. the rate of technology price coming down exceeds the rate of upwards inflation.

4.5k for that mac laptop? omg what a hunk of crap! One of the ugliest apples I have ever seen. I take it Jobs had nothing to do with this rubbish?

You show how ignorant you are of technology at that time. Look up a Toshiba T1600. List price $5,000. 11.5 lbs. That's what they were competing against. That Powerbook was sleek because it had a built in trackball. Everything else you had to carry around a mouse and plug it into the serial port at the back.

At that time, Steve Jobs was running his NeXT Computer company, and Apple was at best in a very strange place. Anyone remember that Macworld magazine cover depicting "Warrior King John Sculley"?
