What a wonderful time, when intelligent people were on tv. Great episode as well

IKR these days it’s all dumbed down. I try to make some videos where I dive deeper into certain things that other computer and retro channels. But my views lack behind because people don’t want to dive a bit deeper it seems.

That computer game at the beginning was the Matell Intelevision game system. It was the direct competitor to the Atari 2600 games system.

I feel like this episode in particular is the most ironic when watched on KZbin.

So.. demonstrates early speech recognition.... then the miniature keyboard... I've had a few beers and a smoke... laffing so much it hurts!!! I had a pac-man wristwatch game thing... loved it... the posh kids had a 'Mario at Cement Factory'.. we used to trade at breaktime! The 80's.. you had to be there to appreciate just how awesome this stuff was at the time... happy days! :-) x

I figured out viewport transformation (3D to 2D) myself when I was doing my GCE A/L - and had to wait another two or three years to know that it is called "viewport transformation" at Uni.

Lines aren’t trivial indeed. But 2 months to create parallel lines?! Sounds a bit much. You need to subtract the offset on the X where both X and Y increase in relation to the previous line’s point. And you will need to add offset to C when X is decreasing and Y is increasing. So it is basically Pythagorean algebra distance = (A’ + B’ + C) / sqrt(A^2 * B^2) You know A and B and C and the distance you want the line to be. So it seems rather trivial to my understanding- but I sucked at math. So perhaps I’m overlooking something. But 2 months still sounds a lot.

These shows are great. But it's sad that the Brits, as early adopters of American tech found it so essential to claim the intervention as their own. I guess it's just a standard thing the English have always done but ever since the American internet hit the world the English have been put in their place. G.B. really needs to adopt a demeanor that appropriate to their station in our global society.

Now now, play nicely children. We can all have a nice debate without bringing racism into it. However, I must say, much as we appreciated the US intervention in the War, by God did you make us pay for it. Plus it took you long enough to get involved. Anyway, I'm not arguing, I love the US, you brought us hamburgers. And it's 'Fuhrer', incidentally a German word. You can all carry on now.

@Retrochild1979 'brit' is not a race unless you consider 'of mixed lineage' a race, nothing personal just saying. I do love a good cup of tea, but I'm pretty sure the Chinese can claim credit for that one. Oh look even when I try to find common ground with your people I always encounter the things that the 'brits' have stolen from other people. I also find it kind of offensive when a 'brit' calls racism, esspecially when the 'brits' are the ones that made slavery a GLOBAL endeavor. Oh well, cheerio, chin up and always remember to take a knee.

Racism is taking against a group of people because of their culture, I'm not splitting hairs over technicalities of language. DON'T give me a lecture on racism when you still have the nutjobs in the square states who freak out over anyone who isn't white and gay people. And dude, seriously, you need to get over all that Empire stuff, we don't have an Empire anymore, we have a partnership of countries called the Commonwealth. Actually, I'm not gonna go too hard on you, you fought hard for independence from the British (well done) and you ended up with Donald Trump. Good luck with that, I'll stick with the Queen thanks. Anyway, since when did we 'steal' tea from the Chinese? Tea caught on in England because of our links with India. We also have curry, pizza, hot dogs, coffee... did we steal all that as well? Do you know what, I actually love the US, I love other cultures and you are bringing out the worst in me.
