FYI, Yoruba religion and spirituality is and has been practiced by multitudes of Africans in the diaspora including America. We have reclaimed our spirituality. African spirituality is quickly being whitewashed to fit the preferences of racism white supremacy. Iya Funlayo-PhD, Wade Nobles, James Smalls, chief Oluwo Obafemi Fayemi Epega and many others practice Ifa. There are American African women and men, elders who could provide deep insight into Yoruba concepts of good and evil. Africans in the diaspora fought hard to reclaim our spiritual systems while battling oppression, terrorism, police brutality, etc. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS and I think it is important to shine light on American Africans who have done the work. World wide racism white supremacy silences the voice, image and narrative of African(diaspora included) people concerning our spirituality. Your platform could be instrumental in centering the countless elders and black communities that contain/live the science-spirituality-knowledge-medicine of Orisha and Ifa.

If you were to die today, are you a 100% sure you will go to heaven? If no, here is what the bible says, (1) Romans 3:23 KJV [23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Q1. Do you know what Sin is? Sin is anything bad that we have done. Q2. Have you sinned before? Yes or No? (2) Revelation 21:8 KJV [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Because they have sinned, and God does not allow Sin into Heaven, the punishment is burning hell. What is the way to reconcile our peace and relationship with God? Q3. Do you know the Story of Jesus? (3) Romans 5:8 KJV [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus = God who lived up in Heaven, but he came down on earth and became a man like us, he lived for 33.5 years without committing any sin. Then there were certain people who were jealous and therefore framed him on phony charges, and crucified him. Then he was buried and resurrected on the third day; Now he lives in HEAVEN. Q4. Do you know why Jesus went through all this bloody mess for us? A4. As mentioned, our sin is the reason why we can’t go to heaven, and the only thing that can wash away our sin is the Blood of Jesus. (4) Romans 5:9 KJV [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. According to the bible, the only way for us to reconcile with God is through Christ Jesus’s blood, and not through any works that we do or merits we accumulate, such as water baptism, attending church, or any good thing that we do. The following verses clearly support this. (5) Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. (6) 2 Corinthians 7:10 KJV [10] For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. In order to get saved, repentance of one’s sin is needed to get saved, we need to be sorry, and repent, with conviction, that we are a wretched sinner. (7) Romans 10:9 KJV [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. If you truly do believe in everything you have heard in the gospel, ,I strongly suggest you to make a proclamation to GOD! You can say it to God in less than 15 seconds !Repeat after this simple prayer, to make sure you truly get saved. Remember repeating this prayer doesn't save you, it's you telling God you BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. Ok, here is the prayer : ‘Dear GOD, I know I am a sinner, as I repent, I put my faith, that Jesus is GOD, and that he died, buried and resurrected, so that his blood, can wash away my Sins. I put my faith in that alone to save me, not my good works. In Jesus’s holy name, I pray. Amen! ‘Congratulations ! Now you are a child of God. Studying for my confirmation as a catholic i chose to read Job instead my of my assignment. A wonderful choice but one which left me with a burning question: if God and Satan were eternal enemies, as the catholic church had tried to convince me, why does God summon Satan to test Job and why does Satan obey? The preacher in charge of the study session told me my question was invalid and that i wasn't ready to understand. Despite being ready, from their perspective, to commit my life to the Roman Catholic Church through the ritual of confirmation. I made the choice not to confirm and I've avoided organized religion ever since. This was a great review of a topic which has always held importance to me and lends validation to my belief that evil/satan/devil is more challenge and adversity than boogie man with horns and bad breath. Good and evil are oversimplifications of conceptualizing the complexity of the human experience and the choices we make. We come to this Earth agreeing to the lives we will live to learn and experience our human lives for spiritual lessons and elevation. Funny how this old knowledge is deemed as new through such individuals as Dorothy Cannon. If anything, this spiritual knowledge renders the concept of race as utterly insignificant, banal and sophomoric because we are spiritual beings living human experiences, and not human beings seeking spiritual experiences-as western religions would have us believe.

Of course there's evidence outside of words just observe actions. If I was deaf mute and saw someone kicking puppies I wouldn't need words because I'd know that action was a degree somewhere close to BAD on the scale of good and evil.

Seems like Good and Evil is about preference. What I think is good you might think is evil and vice versa.

Evil in Zulu ideology, tradition, and culture, we simply don't do that. lol. From my recollection as a Zulu person, it's not something that's deemed as necessary nor mandatory for goodness or evolution. We are called Nguni which derives from 'AbaNgoni' meaning "...those who do no harm or those who do not sin...". So, distancing oneself from things like evil is important. It's just a no. In our origin story, no one killed anyone.

He deviated. From what I read the original Nguni way of war was to go out to the battle field taunt do some high kicks throw your spear and if you got hit oh well, but death either for you or the other side was not the goal. Chaka changed that which is why he shortened the spear into more of a stabbing weapon. Even still you had to make atonement for the lives you took once you got back to the village you were " unclean"

This is good content keep it up. It seems the big mistake people make, just reading through some comments is viewing, interpreting or trying to understand a concept through the lens of another. The Yoruba culture includes a complex system of spirituality which is a way of life and existing that seeks to connect with the world around it and beyond. It's doesn't get consumed with binary concepts like "good" versus "evil" or "God versus Devil/Satan" "heaven versus hell" etc these are Judeo-Christian and Islamic religious concepts. Instead, there is intrinsic belief that everything and everyone consists of good, bad and all things in between. Human beings are meant to find the best ways by which to navigate the world around them in order to be aligned with their destiny or purpose and without this proper navigation one can't be at peace or be fulfilled. There's a real danger in trying to understand it through the lens of religion, there's bound to be confusion and misinformation.

Also in any African language there's no word for Devil/Satan. We only have God, and our God doesn't have a gender.

I'm skeptical of modern translations equating placenta and evil in any language, but on the topic of good and evil and mutuality and duality, it would convenient for people if nothing they did was wrong and they were never meant to account for it, but it is not so. The sooner we realize inconvenient truths like this the mire honest we are. We live in a coddled dishonest time where people won't even call rape evil or unnecessary to the existence of good. It is entirely possible to have either without the other.

Resonate a lot with this concept but this video helped me to put it in perspective. A volcano may be a disaster for humans but provides new fertile land. 🌋 We like to see ourselves as separate from these aspects of nature...but these cycles are within us. its give and take.

The piece I contribute is:”the netcher or nature of understanding or conceptualizing good and evil [light/dark] is raising the plane’s vibrational frequency (Tiamat) connecting tethers lost through “time” these tethers via “terrestrial bodies” or beings these beings being mislead inherit a great portion of what mankind call earth 🌍”

The metaphysical principles of good and evil is quite simple. It is because of the evil that we have the good, for one must first "know" of the evil in order to pursue that which is good. Thus it is because of the evil that the good is of any value or necessity. These "duality" is indeed in unison and truly is but one cause with two mannerisms which edifies or causes the other to be.
