Abeg, this topic is supposed to be both women and men. Those hook-ups and prostutes women do not do it amongst themselves. They hook up with men and also prostutes with men. So, it's a general matter.

HIV/ AIDS was a killer some decades ago, antiretroviral therapy has made it a chronic disease provided, a patient takes regular medications. The problem I see with Nigeria and most African countries is not the lack of awareness but the lackadaisical attitude towards safe sex, poverty, extreme desire for wealth without doing the work. Prostitution has been re-packaged as hook ups, gay activities which has the highest infection rates. The rate of infection is in its exponential growth but we will never realise it until it’s too late. Poor health care facilities also make the situation worse, unsterilised medical equipments being re-used and so on. A lot has to be done in the area of public healthcare in order to damp the rising numbers.
