I definitely felt in control after taking the water and at that point, I admit I just let off the gas and assumed I had it won. When he amassed his land army and took out my trebs, I was VERY surprised.

Great game Jeffrey! I’m just seeing this now. I was in a 2v2 ranked match and my teammate goes “I’m playing with a Legend” totally confused what he’s talking about? Said we made it on LEL and didn’t believe him until I looked it up now. I’m not a fan of island maps. But somehow I pulled it off. GG. -CrossEyedSerjeant

Turn off exploration entirely. If you're there, you can see it, but it goes back to unexplored the moment you leave. Double plus plus difficulty: when both players can't see it, it can change.

Was thinking if someone edited a map with all sorts of confusing islands. Islands covered by mangroves you have to chop to/cliffs. Or even island within lakes. Then a secret island with a ton of gold😂 could be fun

Very interesting game! of course red would have won if he'd gotten some cannon galleons, but I don't blame him for getting confused with everything going on. They should nerf cannon galleons so we see games like this more often- water maps too often feel like "get cannon galleons first and win."

AoE should add build-able bridges across shallows that stop boat movement until they destroy it. Have a stone and wood one, would make land fighting on hybrid maps more interesting too rather than, I need to build a base 2ft from their base approach

All red had to do since Castle age was sending a ship with 4 knights and 1 ram to blue's island and that's it. Or if he wanted to flex, make the ship come back for more villagers and build a castle

What would be real cool if female villagers and male villagers were stronger than the other depending on which resource type they gather. Like say, male villagers would be more adept at building, mining and hunting both prey and predator Gaia units. Female villagers would be better at chopping trees, farming and fishing. It'd add a whole new dimension of resource management strategy.

@@cwnhaernjqw I mean, hey, why not? lol. I'm just sayin', make the game a bit more immersive and realistic, give the male and female villagers strengths and weaknesses. The male villagers could have more hit points, do more damage, build buildings faster but they're slower in terms of movement speed. Something like that. It'd be a cool game option.

@Dukerdjerrbs I've always been a goober, so that's fine by me. Adding more options to add some more details or quirks to spice the game up never hurts though and I doubt it's hard to program. Like adding a "blood" option and "skeleton" option would be nice too.
