Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot, dude!

Awesome video, super simple explanation, thank you very much. Conjugate still sounds like a b!tch to program though lol

Anyone know a current IPF lifter using conjugate? Serious question, so no drama please.
@austinbaumgarten23283 жыл бұрын
Mike Hedlsky won the IPF gold medal in deadlift in like 2012 training conjugate. He has a lot of videos and writing to check out. Not current but still worth looking at.

Vlad Alhazov , squatted 525kg raw, unfortunately not IPF like you asked

me lol conjugate can work very well for drug free raw lifters everyone just has a weird thing where they think that u can only do conjugate if ur in multiply and on every PED know to man

Also Robert Wilkerson, not IPF but done both raw and multi

Once again I'm asking... Where is the "HOY" at 0:02

I’m curious… if someone were to run the conjugate system but wanted to boost their deadlift, squat & bench at the same time… Is this doable & if so how would that be structured? Because this is a 4 day split right? With 2 max effort days (1x upper, 1x lower) & 2 dynamic effort days (1x upper & 1x lower) So how would one go about this?

Any of you guys know what is the % of 1RM used for Dynamic days?
@VincentS9882 жыл бұрын
50, 55, 60% with 25-30% accommodating resistance (bands or chains)
@VincentS9882 жыл бұрын
@Slengt Gasspropan You're right. If he specifically asked for percentages used without accommodating resistance; your comment would be warrant.

Question: for example on a max effort bench day, if you were to go for a heavy 1RM how many sets would you recommend doing on that max weight?
@VincentS9883 жыл бұрын
It’s just that 1 top set
@VincentS9882 жыл бұрын
@Slengt Gasspropan He didn’t ask about Backoff sets. He said how many sets should you do with the max effort weight.

Does this applicable to increasing pull up from 10 to 20?
@ronroyce62 жыл бұрын
Yes. If I were to have that goal I'd focus on higher rep stuff with pull ups in my accessory work after doing a pull up variation for Max effort work. Changing the grip each week for maxing. As for accessories I'd do weighted pull ups and on dynamic day I'd do band assisted / weight assisted pull ups for a 3 x 20 to build my strength endurance while also rotating the grip handle on rep work when i see signs of overuse and I'd do lots of rotator cuff and rear delt work maybe even some band pull aparts and band rows on off days for restoration. You might also wanna look up greasing the groove strategy for pull ups.

Just do more reps, you don't need to worry about training methods
@kl-vt5ko2 жыл бұрын
It can be applicable, but your goal is simple and short term enough where just repping pull ups with progressive overload is a suitable plan. Conjugate appears to be something that is designed to expedite longer term goals.
