Thanks for all your content! Can you do a video touching a little more on the day to day responsibilities of a construction superintendent and certain milestones. Kind of like the steps of the construction process as seen by the superintendent besides just reading drawings and fostering good relationships. For example make sure there’s proper permits, site fence and sidewalk shed is up, surveyors marked reference points, footings poured, utilities called for piping, mat slab and so on. Things like when to get the electricians to supply power to the site, when to het hoist/ crane. When you to start calling windows guys to start drying in the building. How to do 2 week look aheads and so on.

35, vet, trades background, finishing Masters in CEM this year. Tips on best starting positions to apply for that can create the best pathway of learning to get up to Super/etc? Thanks for all the info on your channel!

Field Engineer and Assistant Superintendent at a GC or CM. These are direct paths for the superintendent Role. Also, some companies would let you start as a project engineer (which is moreso the office side / PM route) then switch to the field side. Hope this helps!!!

I have my BS in architecture and minor in CM. I have about 5 years of architecture experience, but I want to transition to construction management. I'm not sure if I should get a certification or if I should go back to school and get my bachelor's in CM all together. Do you have any opinions?

Have you tried applying to CM's/GC's for project engineer roles? If not, try that first, before considering any other certifications.

So im 22 years old and enlist into the military. Im still on my first contract and wont get out until early 2026. My question is what would u recommend someone in my situation, is going to school under CPM or work my way up into a trade? What i can say is theres a lot of people in my situation in the military so what ever advice or tip would help.
