From 1957 to 1961, The Society Six was known as "The Lehigh Valley's Biggest Little Band", as they were a 6-piece "Big Band" group, from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This performance of "The Continental" is one of only 4 recordings of the band known to exsist, and is taken directly from a 1957 78RPM disc. On the recording are Dave Springer on piano, Paul Paterson on Trombone, Bob Lipski on Sax, Dave English on Trumpet, Johnny Hoffner on clarinet, and Bob Orbin Sr. on drums. This video is a tribute to my dad, Bob Orbin Sr., who died in February 2020.
