He is the perfect drummer for their band. To drums, he is essentially what Johnny Ramone was to guitar. People forget that the song is the most important thing. Serve the song. For anyone wondering about that snare. It's not actually a bell brass snare as Lars says it is. the model number is LU1465B30. It's his normal chrome signature snare you can buy, but the special 30th anniversary edition that is coated black. It is still 3mm of steel, not bell brass. (unless Lars has some secret snare that is disguised to look like that one but is actually a Tama bell brass underneath, but I doubt it.)

The legend who inflicted many of us to start drumming, I always had Tama drums just because Lars played on Tama, now I have the Starclassic maple since 2012 with the roadpro hardware just because Lars have the same , sold my Zildjians A Custom and got the Sabian AAX , Lars will always be the friend , the uncle and the drum master that I had since I was a kid, now I'm 40 and the teenager in me can't be more thrilled after attending many Tallica gigs behind Lars , long live the legend

Stop the Lars hate, amazing drummer. Damn near underrated at this point for all the hate he’s given.
