The awesomeness of Mike's vocals and the band playing their respective instruments in this version of the song is what makes them them. They could "sit down and jam" and we should all be so lucky to hear the 45 mins-ish of that magical time, just sayin.

That's exactly how I felt when I got to see them live last year, especially during the source. Lucky. Their music is cathartic in an an ancient way, what a time to be alive 💥

I've got the vinyl for this baby and every time this song comes on it's like a calm wave that washes over me introducing me to the rediscovered tracks. Language means so much to me and the rediscovered tracks are all of that meaning distilled into the tracks. I love the calm, airiness of this track in particular. The Source regular is great as an opener to the album and it feels very big despite also being one of the softer tracks. What the rediscovered version lacks in scale, it makes up for with a Debussy like endless quality. The guitars all linger with light notes and extended distorted tones, the fUCKING KEYS have a brilliant and bright echo that never fully stops. Even as the song comes to a close they're the last thing you hear. I see people say they weren't ready for the song to be over when it ended and I get the same feeling every time I listen. Like it could just go on forever and ever and I'd be okay to just drift.

It's called the Source because in esoteric and occult and new age philosophy, the phrase refers to what other people know to be God. Essentially the Source of all Things. Love is the highest frequency and emotional state in the universe and that old cliche adage "love makes the world go round" is in fact an ancient idea. Literally all we need is love in our lives to transcend and live more richer lives. Not romantic love necessarily but love in general.
