It’s a collectivist society and about fitting in, so yes unfortunately people that are too different or outspoken are crushed. I love how open and honest she is, and expressive of herself. Like she has tattoos and smokes (which are taboo for women in Korean society) and not being afraid to show it is what I like about her. American media and celeb culture is not perfect, but it is far more reasonable than that of Korea. For example, I was watching one interview of her and Song kang for Nevertheless, where she was describing the character of the female lead and saying she was in love but lost all her practical senses. But in her words, she was calling the woman stupid for having the intensely romantic and sexual relationship too, even if the ML never cheated. When it comes to a war I know how it feels because I've lived in a country which had a war for 30 years and I witnessed the last 8 years of that war. Even I couldn't remember everything because I was a child I can remember how my parents were sacred to let me go to school and everyone in the family couldn't use the same bus or train because of bomb attacks. So, Being a Korean and standing for their country is completely understandable. She is a really brave woman and her acting skills also really good. @@tannies_6137 I do not obsessively consume modern day Kpop that a typical Gen Z or Gen Alpha consumes, yes, but I do consume the occasional modern day Kpop via news and/or radio and/or social media, and i am very familiar with the original hallyu kpop wave from the 2000s to 2010s. Making this particular statement is very assumptive and very much generalising 3 or 4 entire generations of kpop music produced and their enjoyers/consumers. Modern day Kpop is not the only form of kpop to have existed. They came with predecessors which other generations or the current generations would have or may have entirely enjoyed, as with any other genres (e.g. country, hip-hop, etc). Genres are not limited to nor exclusive to any specific age range or target audience. Genres are timeless, only the matter of how much of a particular genre is being produced and/or consumed in a set duration is the defining condition to its profit-making longevity, and thus in other words, popularity. I have had, for a very long time, enjoyed the kpop genre and knew much about it. Anyho, your statement does not particularly bring any value to my comment as it does not change the fact that this dude's fans are something else. I'm merely stating a point that I had only heard of the existence of person B via person A and had never known of this person B, yet person B's fans seem to think person B is some indisputably well-known celebrity throughout the entire world population even though I'm pretty sure multiple generations of people (including ones like myself who have had at one point been thoroughly obsessed about kpop, and of course countless many others who have never consumed kpop like your statement suggests) and had the audacity to insult another celebrity (person A) which, no statistical estimate at this moment, at least one of such said generations (me), know about instead. He is, at least to such groups of the world population, in fact, not as popular or well-known in comparison to her. And based on the likes on this post, it is assumed that there are others who feel the same way as I do. Again, not bashing anyone at all, just stating a point observed, and being very disappointed in that particular cluster of his fanbase.

That's a pretty naive ill conceived comment to make: "no matter what". What if she is caught drink driving, stealing, defrauds people or worse even kills someone? You going to love her then too? Being 'authentic and fearless' does not equate with being a good person either. So often I come across statements like this made by people who know very little about the individual being spoken of, but can make such blanket statements. I know its the purview of the young and naive. You may love her acting, as that is the only thing you can do, since you probably do not know her personally and probably will never know her. She could for all we know be an abject narcissist or megalomaniac. Yes love her acting, love some of the stuff she does in public, but loving everything without knowledge means you will also stand behind some very bad behaviour that are not aware of. She maybe a very nice person and I am not for one moment saying she is a bad person, but wish people would think before they speak like this. You may get mad cos I am chastising for a thoughtless comment but I hope in the end you will see, and others see as well, the folly in speaking without thinking through.

So Hee was a brilliant actress in "my Name" where her relentless pursuit of killers responsible for her father death brought her suffering and physical torture to learnt martial arts under a Drug Lord. Subsequently , she became a Narcotics Detective and discovered her father actual killers was the very drug lord who has take care of her. Korean TV and Movies directors really make good qualify shows with plots.
