No, but I've been waist deep in a Randell and when I was lining the bottom with cardboard he saw the rotten shell fish and such at the bottom, chuckled and said "huh, that's kinda gross" It IS your f'n savage, remove drawer basins and clean your equipment. Well, it came out as nodding slightly while saying yup.

As a deaf girl (since baby), I absolutely suggest seeing a doctor, and getting your hearing tested by an audiologist. There's options of so many different hearing aids out there to help you. (There's even ones that help reduce loud noises as needed although not a hearing protector replacement.) There's no need to keep struggling, I've seen so many people get depressed with untreated hearing loss that getting it looked at sooner is just the way to go. Untreated also increase the risk of dementia. For Mental health in more ways than one. No shame for wearing hearing aids, it's same as glasses!

My hearing has been not great all my life. I'm in my late 30s now, and I have trouble with people speaking too fast/quiet/accented, as well as a minor-moderate case of tinnitus. I wondered about hearing aids, but I don't know if that's my ears, or my brain.

You're right to hold fire on ripping the building apart. As regards the flare leak. You tested in the off mode. Once running the copper warms up and looking at that condenser higher than normal head pressure. As that's the liquid line it doesn't need a large leak to short the system over 6 months plus Good call thumbs up 👍
@eduardofuentes7004
@eduardofuentes7004 3 жыл бұрын
So my take on this is 1 nice leak checking very thoroughly done 2 I feel like you sold that leak detector really well hahaha 😅 I want one 3 since u equalized the system the head pressure will be higher when running and if its been warmer out the head pressure will go up and cause that little leak to become bigger that it would be in the winter when head pressure is lower. I just found a leak on a condenser by shutting off some fans while the compressor was running to boost the head pressure "to a safe level" so I could pin point the leak.

My 2 cents worth?? 2 super fine leaks 24 hours a day 365 days?? It is actually surprising the refrigerant loss.. but it could also be a super fine line leak combined with the other two... But I love the idea of a visual leak indicator!! How many times are you in a noisy dark environment checking?? Lots !! An the visual indicator would be great in a grocery store rack ..it's always dark in them an extremely noisy... Nice NICE tool

I always leak check without my gauges hooked up because it seems like people just have to hook their gauges up for every little thing and those schraders get a work out. Then get sealed off with gauges or probe sets screwed on. That leak detector is like the Bacharach Informant 2 except it can actually detect refrigerant 😂. What was that whistling sound in the kitchen? Heard it like 3 times, that stuff drives me nuts.

Do you ever use Leak-Seal or Dye? Semi Common here in Australia, the Leak-Seal works well for tiny tiny leaks, basically like a gimmick radiator stop leak for the car but works in HVAC (different product, don't put car stop leak in lol). The dye works good for medium and small leaks, just shove it in, go back in a few months when it's low again and look for the yellow spray paint. PS, I agree with fixing leaks before using these, but when all else fails and you don't want to cut the roof I easily fall back to these 2 products.

Yeah dye might work been using that before and it really big help
@Combat.Wombat.official
@Combat.Wombat.official 3 жыл бұрын
@@rammelpj I often use them together, the leak seal is actually a gas conditioner that doubles as leak seal, basically a chemical dryer, so it isn't a horrible idea to put a conditioner into a system that has been leaking, and sometimes inadvertently fixing the problem. I've also put it in brand new systems sometimes as an extra measure incase the vac didn't work perfectly, fresh start with conditioner.

I'm surprised you'd need a drywall company to come back behind you. As long as you are careful with the initial cuts, you can fit patches into the drywall and do a quick mud patch within 5 minutes. If you have to tear the walls out, or huge channels in them? Then yes, have someone else do it. You run into this every now and then when you're doing network and phone cabling.

I know your not an appliance guy but I figured you might know this Being a HVACR guy. Is it still true that if you lay a refrigerator down for say an hour during delivery, Do you still have to stand it up for several hours before plugging it in or you may burn up the compressor? and if so Why? I was always told this from 20 or 30 years back. Have they changed anything to prevent this problem in modern appliances?
@proc7867
@proc7867 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is still true. Personally, I tell the customer they need to wait 24 hours before they turn it on just to be extra careful. Reason being is when unit is on its side, all the oil in the compressor migrates elsewhere so if it’s turned on right away, there will be no lubrication inside the compressor causing it to overheat and burn up. Same reason you don’t run your car low on oil because you’ll burn up your engine. Hopefully that makes sense

That hearing problem is common means you've already lost a frequency range so can no longer differentiate between them. I have it lost of low range, parties bar's are just a blur of sound making it really had to hear unless someone is talking in your ear. Pretty much the first sign you have hearing damage already not major but need to be careful not to loose more. Earmuffs always in a noisy situation. Get an decibel meter and seen if its in the safe range, I had to do that when I was still working, outside the safe range the higher it goes the more likely you'll get increased hearing damage oh you can get a app for your phone to do it (not quite as accurate but a lot cheaper).
