Great upload! The only complaint I’ve ever had with some of Kickers amplifiers is the non adjustable/fixed infrasonic filter at 25hz at 24db per octave. I want my deep organ notes to come through unmolested 😝. Overall though, I think they are awesome and probably what every company hopes to become in the industry!

@@SkuuchiMane808 Their subs are fine but their just not all out SPL monsters. IMO kicker has lacked a decent woofer line for a while. Their subs make great " just throw it in your ride" daily type subs but they fell behind in their competition type woofers. I think the square woofer is a double edge sword. With their new L7 coming out I think it will be a great subwoofer. I don't think it will complete with some of the bigger woofers but will be a good sub non the less.

It would be kind of redundant. In my years of installing I'm yet to blow fuse in the amp itself. I'm sure they did it to streamline power delivery and not have more failure junctions than needed. Usually amps in the higher price and quality range don't have them due to the protection circuit on the amp being sufficient to protect it from accidental issues. Cheater amps use fussing because well it's cheaper to use fuse contacts than actually developing a protection circuit on the board.

I grew up near Stillwater. I've been running kicker amps since 96. I highly highly recommend their amps for even the ground and pound systems that still wanna SQ mids out. My favorite part about kicker amps are the SQ. Just amazingly good amplifiers.

Concern is the inefficiency of this amp considering it is Class D. Williston Audio Labs just tested a Class AB RF amp from 2005 and it had the same efficiency as the Kicker. Today's cars need efficient amps.

Any amp that has a tightly regulated power supply like this will always be a bit more inefficient under a heavy load. Depending on your use case the benefits might outweigh the con.

I was fckin hyped today when I scored this amp and a compQ 12 today…until I realized they sold me a freaking 2ohm dvc sub, and that would be fine and all until I found out this amp I spent a fuck ton of money on isnt rated for 1 ohm. Wtf kicker? You gonna paste Q class on this amp and not make it good for 1ohm applications???

@@HifiVega How would I make sure I don't clip it too much? Would it entail giving it less juice/power? At 2ohms I'd need to send about 40V ac to the sub (measured with a multimeter from the amp output) to get 800watts, but only 28.28V to the sub get 800watts at 1ohm...But if the amp isn't one ohm stable how would I know if it's actually sending the power I want to the subwoofer at one ohm? wouldn't I end up eventually frying the amp due to more power coming back to the amp that isn't used? Electricity is hard.
