You can use it in 6 different countries, Slovenia also and with no problem

its not the same language, but its very similar. I as a Croatian dont understand many serbian or bosnian words, plus the sentences and words change and structure differently.

or you can use slang žemo instead of može :) and you dont have to be a foreigner to communicate with simple može instead of a question. I do that all the time. asking for a chair at bar is perfect example. just pay attention to accent može correctly as question or as approval or as answer instead of yes, it is possible, but otherwise I dont allow that :) (long Oooooo mooooože) also you can always ask with simple može and pointing to something (at menu, another beer, bill, free seat, to enter somewhere etc). also it is common if someone wants to offer you something, a free drink or food for example, they will just ask Môže? and you can reply Môže!

In Slovak that word can be used in all mentioned scenarios, but in different forms (Môže byť losos. = I'll have the salmon. / Môžem zaplatiť. = I'm ready to pay. / [pull the chair] + Môžem? = Can I borrow the chair? / Môžeš. = Yes, you can. / or even Toto môžem. = I like this. as a counterpart to Toto nemusím. = I don't like this. - literally "I can this." and "I don't need to this."). We also have a morpheme that can be used to form so many words with so many meanings. And I expect other Slavic languages have a similar thing. The morpheme is "jeb". Verbs: jebať = to f_ck (plus many other uses, e.g. "nejeb ma" - literally "don't f_ck me" meaning "stop annoying me" or "stop fooling me", etc.) jebať na to = to not care about something jebať sa do/v = when someone is doing something that is none of their business zajebať = to do/say something funny or extraordinary zajebať + [object] = to kill the [object] / to mess the [object] up (as in pollute/make it dirty) zajebávať sa = to waste time instead of working (don't know the English word for this) dojebať = to mess up (as in break something/do something badly) dojebať sa = to come/arrive prijebať = to punch ojebať/ojebávať = to lie odjebať = to disconnect something (usually forcefully) or to take something down (like a cap from a bottle) odjebať sa = to leave ujebať = to steal ujebať si = to fart ujebávať sa = to laugh zjebať = to scold zjebať sa = to fall down najebať = to crash / to fill or to put something into something najebať + [object] = to beat up the [object] / to paint the [object] najebať na = to stick/pin something onto something najebať sa = to get drunk vyjebať = to throw something away / to put something out of something vyjebať s = to outsmart someone or the system vyjebať sa = to slip vyjebalo = used when electronics or some kind of machinery unexpectedly turns off jebnúť = this one has so many uses when used in combination with other words (e.g. "jebni to do auta" = "put that into the car"); the word on its own means to explode or to punch prejebať = to exceed (usually in a negative way; it's most often used in the context of losing money for unimportant stuff) môžem jebať = when you refuse something because of unacceptable conditions (e.g. high price) + more Adjectives: jebnutý/prijebaný = crazy/mad/insane (all in a negative sense) správne jebnutý = when someone is crazy in a positive sense jebavý = sexy najebaný = drunk zajebaný = dead / dirty + more (basically almost all the verbs above can be turned into an adjective form) Nouns: jebo/jebko/jebek = guy (derogatory) jeba/jebaňa = hot girl ojeb = lie újeb = laugh (can't think of other nouns, maybe jeblington, which is a fairly new word thrown around) Interjection: jeb = boom - can be used whenever something crashes, someone punches someone/something, something falls down, etc; you can also use "jéb", "jéééb", "jééééb", etc. to increase the intensity
