Lord Jesus, You know that I am very anxious about the tests and exams that I have to face very soon, and ask that You would calm my anxious, clouded thoughts. Please calm these nerves that I have, and let me rest in You always. I pray that as I enter the exam, that You will fill my heart with perfect peace that only comes from You. Please also give me clarity of thought, and prompt my mind to remember all the things that I have studied. Give me the wisdom and the ability to transfer my thoughts to paper. It’s in Your precious name I pray, amen.🙏🙏🧡🧡

Rosaries 2-3 x per day, FASTING & weekly PENANCE! It’s a lot but we have to do it for our country!!! And of course the divine mercy chaplet also!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

That’s beautiful that you spend a lot of time in prayer for yourself and others. When you are generously praying for others, you’re making the world a better place and your prayers benefit those who can’t help themselves, like the souls in purgatory. May God bless you Richard and assist you with your neurological disorder. ❤️🤍❤️

Thank you, the Lord 👑 all thing allows us to be faithful to experience Jesus through some of the homeless and beggars. That's God's untenable attentiveness to our hearts ❤️. May God's calling yours. Gracias Señor 👑 todo nos permite ser fieles para experimentar a Jesús a través de algunos de los desamparados y mendigos. Esa es la insostenible atención de Dios a nuestros corazones ❤️. Que Dios llame al tuyo.

I was once told that even with doing these acts of mercy, if I don't ask to receive the merits/graces associated with the action, God does not give them. I would have thought God would give the merits freely. Have I misunderstood?

This is a very interesting episode: The Corporal Works of Mercy that’s reminding us all that what we do to the least of our brothers, we do it for Jesus. Thank you so much, Fr. Chris, for helping us open our eyes and hearts to the needs of those who are less fortunate and in most need of our attention. We can always look up to the life of Jesus on what He did when confronted by countless miseries in the lives of peoples. He remains our loving, living example to care both body and soul. Thanks to NCPD for their dedication and service that brightens the lives of peoples with much hope, love and joy. Prayers for them and may God continue to pour down His graces and blessings in their noble mission. Fr. Chris, together with your wonderful, amazing and powerful team, my heartfelt gratitude and prayerful wishes for a long and lasting service wholeheartedly offered for the praise and glory of God. You surely have your reward for your good deeds and prayers for you all.

Hello Fr Alar!! And blessings upon your ministry! In our life here on earth, there are some heavenly gifted people with grace of being empathetic, compassionate and giving of themselves for those in need. If these qualities (skills) are all a person has, yet makes it to Heaven. We can work for praying for those still on earth, but is there thought on what happens to gifts after the second coming? I'm going to guess it is just a mystery, but is there any Saint who thought about this? Thank you and God Bless you and all the Marian Fathers!

Go to A Catholic Minute it's a site on youtube that is run by a young couple (with 7 children) who have many prayers and chapplets on video to pray along with you. Look for their all mysteries rosary video. It takes a little over an hour but it's done with an intimate heartfelt feel to it and it truly brought me to the repentance that I needed to melt my stoney old heart. 💙🙏🏻💙🙏🏿💙

@alwaysmisskaryn

We’ve learned from Father Chris’s teachings, that even if you literally have to force yourself to go to confession that’s evidence enough that you have some remorse. You’re responding here in this chat and you said that you want to feel remorse. You’ve got more remorse than you think. The desire to go to confession alone and the fear of losing your soul, aka going to hell is enough. I believe it’s called the purgative stage of holiness. Confession is so cleansing, and believe me I hadn’t been for a couple of years due to Covid,and I got very comfortable being a cafeteria Catholic. I too agonized and rationalized so many reasons why I didn’t have to go. Then, Jesus took the wheel. I walked into a church while on vacation and guess who was the guest speaker? Father Chris Alar. I knew about the Divine Mercy devotion, and I knew of the existence of the National Shrine, but that was the extent of my knowledge of Divine Mercy. Part of his talk was about confession in addition to Divine Mercy. That day changed my life. You can do this. I’m keeping you in prayer. May God bless you.

But if you had faith, you would believe in Jesus's words when he said shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, visit the sick, etc. Having faith means following what Jesus told us to do.

In his epistle to the Ephesians, St. Paul makes the distinction between "works of the Law" and "good works" clear in a beautiful way. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and not of yourselves. It is the gift of God- not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10) St. James' epistle also does, and does Our Lord in when one compares Matthew 7:22-23 and Matthew 25:34-40.
