Pisses me off so so much that Junction Point and subsequently all of their projects were scrapped because of these braindead short termed goals to exploit mobile gaming for maximum profit. So much creativity trashed for profit. I think that in the modern context of lootboxes and item shops its no longer too revolutionary to point out the way in which capitalistic endeavors has ravaged gaming as an art form, but the thing that I don't think many realize is that the same scummy people have always been in charge, they've just been a bit more subtle. Sometimes its easy to wax over the idea of some better time when microtransactions weren't a thing and 'all was good' but frankly its mostly nostalgia guiding that idea, since the invention of the medium creative and frankly brilliant ideas have been tossed aside in the name of profit. I can only really empathize with Warren here, sure his actions were definitely in very poor tact but they were also very justified. To be an industry veteran and pioneer enamored with the creativity and artistry found in the medium being told that you have to scrap all of that, the livelihood of many of your employees, as well as the nature of your own company that you built, under the justification of making cheap derivative mobile games to help maximize profit, I for one would be livid. I'm not sure the specifics of what I'd do in that situation, but what I do know is that there is no way I'd be any kinder than Spector was. Was throwing a remote a good idea? No. Do I fault him for it? Hell no.

another thing that sucked for Warren and his team was that he wasn't allowed to tell his team that everything was going down the drain because of legal stuff. so in the final months of EM2's development he knew that they were all pretty much working towards their deaths and he couldn't tell anyone

But the good news is... the remastered version will be released on September 24th this year. If it succeeds, then EM 3 will be released onto the public!

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! Warren makes a hit game for Disney only for executives to brush him off for mobile apps. I am REALLY excited for EM: Rebrushed! This game shouldn't be forgotten just b/c it's exclusive to a dead console.

Disney threw away Junction Point to make room for their new line of Goyslop! Yummy yummy. First come, first serve! Unfortunately… 3 days after my birthday, a non-goyslop product will be shipped to my address! A meal with the flavor of a well cooked steak. Inferior to the delectable sour and sweet sensation of the potato salad mixed with vomit! Ugh. Disney is really going down the shitter with this one! Epic Mickey? Please… Make way for a REAL gaming experience, like Royal Match. There’s this king named, Robert. And he’s always in trouble. Who’s after this king? Download and find out! And how could I forget such classics like, “Move the blue guy through the gate that says ‘x2’ to get more guys, as they run forward and kamikaze the army of red guys.” I swear man. I’m gonna kick Warren in his spectorcals! But yeah… Hopefully Rebrushed is good. Happy to see the series make a comeback.
