My Google account is messed up or id still have a subscription choom!lol anyways hope all is this video was decent asf some very key things people need to remember about the arasakas and why the call them "the vampires" and as well...(Sorry long sentences thoughts) Father Saburo takes over sons Yorinobu body in one of the endings ....as well as Saburo is engram like Silverhand but uncorrupted.....Very odd you don't hear too many people mention these things

Arasaka isn't any more evil than any other corpo. Seeking world domination doesn't seem so bad to me. The way I see it America should have global control over the rest of the planet. Were I a CEO I would naturally want dominance in the market too.

One of the most overlooked but important events in Arasaka's and general Cyberpunk timeline is Spider Murphy's elimination of Kai Arasaka. By eliminating the heir groomed to hold power on Saburo's behalf, Saburo was forced to try and bring his rebel son Yorinobu into the fold. We play through the disastrous fallout of this 54 years further down the timeline in the game. If however, Kai had survived he instead of Yorinobu would be in charge and the Relic program would have gone off without a hitch ensuring the immortal reign of Saburo Arasaka. Add to this Spider Murphy being the one to free AI Alt into the Net and surviving all this to retire peacefully. Spider is the most badass character in the IP.

See this is another reason why I think spider engramed herself and currently resides in our other waifu somi....or used another way of means of going beyond the blackwall remember the missions where to restore alt, rebuild Silverhand, etc...Idk why chooms forget about blackdog lmfao as well as the other ttrpgs they're all key to story ...remember silverhand was her first comrade she seen go down in battle as well would make sense Somis wise cracks about SAMUARI and obviously blocked silverhand from talking to her for a reason ..its not all just coincidence

@@JohnnySilverwrench As an old Cyberpunk TTRPG player/GM Spider Murphy struck me as smart enough to bow out of the limelight and retire to a quiet life in Switzerland somewhere. At the end of "Firestorm: Aftershocks" she was the only major black hat Netrunner left alive. Human Alt Cunningham and Rachel Bartmoss got too close to the flame and were destroyed and I think Murphy was smart enough to see the handwriting on the wall. Plus she just killed the son of the most powerful man in the world and it would be good time to use the chaos of post-bomb Night City to fake her death and disappear. My guess is she's a grandmother quietly napping in her garden and taking a low key Netrunner job now and then to relive the old days.

Arasaka is a bane in the Cyberpunk 20XX universe, but they aren't the only bane corp either. Saburo really is a piece of work.

They're called vampires for a reason everyone thinks literally vampires but I wonder what we were supposed to see in them tunnels....

Boss, out of all the corps arasaka is the only one that has a code of honor. Look up the lore of the other corps, especially biotechnica (who makes food out of human meat and kidnaps pregnant mothers and intentionally orphans kids) or militech or the many other corps. Compared to the other ones, they aren’t that bad

@ReaperChronicles All the corps in cyberpunk are bad. None of them truly help the denizens of Night City. I rather be apart of any Nomad clan except SNAKE Nation or the Wraiths/Raffen Shiv.

This finally gave me a good explanation why they chose Silverhand of all people to be slotted into the Relic 2.0. Him being one of the least valuable constructs on file makes him the perfect candidate for experimental tech that could fail and wipe or corrupt the data on it. Thanks for another deep dive!

My pleasure choom! To add onto your question, it's likely they only had Silverhand's engram in the first place to reverse engineer it and grab the Soulkiller source code during the Time of Red. Though that's just what I've pieced together.

@@LayedBackGamers That's a great point, and even though Soulkiller isn't competing with Militech in that market anymore, it kinda kills my theory because it made Johnny's engram way more important than Arasaka could've known, with how its connection to Alt is what ultimately took Arasaka/Soulkiller down (depending on your path in the game).

But he DID build it. Not from the ground-up, no, but it wouldn’t have NEAR the amount of worth and wealth that the company has at the start of 2077. If not for Saburo and his insight on the impending economic collapse, Arasaka might not have existed

People seem to think hanako is a innocent tool in saburos scheme, but its pretty blatant that shes deeply involved with his evil, she willingly murderes her own brother to allow her dead father to live forever. I wouldnt be suprised to discover she is only so close to him on her fathers orders for this exact reason..
