It was quite a surprise to find out that guy's name is "Steve Wyoming." He really doesn't look like a Steve Wyoming at all! I wonder what the significance of the number 34 is on his helmet? Standing together, The Corps reminded me of The Village People. I think it's Tony's moustache. These would have been great to bulk up a Joe army, though, and they have some nice designs in their own right. The tank looks particularly good. You can't beat a bit of "Oooo Matron!" It just never gets old! 😂

Yeah I guessed they must have been but all I remember were the Action Force (Joes) in the stores.

I had a few of the earliest of this line at my Granny's. More of my cheap knock-offs for the playroom.

They were common here in Australia, a bit underrated in the school yard. I've picked up a few to expand the Dreadnok ranks. Also commenting for your algorithm. 😁 Cool topic, Subscribed. 👌

This brings back memories! I remember picking these up from Quicksave or Safeway for around £2, I think. That green motorcycle was awesome. Pretty sure in the 90s they had sets of three figures with matching themed outfits. And yeah, those thumbs were always the first to go!

I think I remember in the 80’s at Kmart in America The Corps figures went for 1 dollar and 25 cents and G.I. Joe figures went for 3 dollars.

Nice job on the repair. I have to confess that I only ever played with the 5POA Action Force figures so have no interest in O-ring figures but with that said, they do look pretty cool 👍🏻

Steve wyoming was one of the sports guys, along with hattrick lemonde, crusher mccloskey, lightning mobuto, sensei kabuto and brickwall some others had cool names like jinkyard and some had names youd associate with plumbers like tony tanner 😂

There is a version called "red renegade : steve wyoming" that is very difficult to find... And his head was reused in at least one other model called "Full Proof" in 1998, of which there are different versions.

@@Retrotoyguysi It is part of the "Blade Warriors" collection (which came with the golden rollers, like the figure you already showed in your video). I collect "o-ring" action figures from the 80s and 90s of all the brands I can find and, even though I have dozens and dozens of "Corps", from time to time I discover some paint variant that is unknown to me! (good video, I didn't know the channel, from time to time the KZbin algorithm does a good job!).
@Retrotoyguysi12 күн бұрын
@ Thanks, appreciate it. KZbin can be a bit weird in what and who it recommends, but I’m glad you found my channel in the end 😀👍. I don’t have many O-Ring figures, these, a few Galoob Gen Patch and A-Team and a little collection of Joes. I have a few videos about them that you might find of interest 😀

I Love the Corps O Ring Figures. Steve Wyoming was my favorite, until the Firefighters & Construction/Tree Topping Figures came out.👍🏾They should've never changed from O Ring. I hope they realize that was a Mistake & go back to the format. In fact, ALL 3 3/4-4 inch figures should be in O Ring style.
@Retrotoyguysi9 күн бұрын
Sadly I think the good old O-Ring days have had their glory as everything seems to be ball jointed these days, which I expect costs less. But we can live in hope. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment, it's much appreciated.

The Corps were always part of my toy collection as a kid…my mam purchased both GI Joe and The Corps for my brothers and I..looking back I now realise how important they were as mixing both lines in play really encouraged and made imagination a must so as to create a world and story where both lines coexist 🫶🏻
@Retrotoyguysi14 күн бұрын
That’s cool, the cross pollination of toy lines at play time was always fun! Sadly I never had any Corps figures when I was younger, I’m sure they must have been available somewhere but my eye was always drawn to the Action Force line. Thanks for watching and commenting Gerard 👍😀
