Thank you for another great video Alex! I live in Hungary and the inflation rate at the moment is 26,20% 🥲There are items in Lidl here that have doubled in price since 2021.... I've visited Malta last year in October for the first time and many things, even the food at restaurants are either the same price or cheaper in Malta compared to Hungary. We don't have Euro and our wages are much less. Ever since my first visit to Malta, I found your KZbin channel and it's the best for anyone who wants to go to Malta. I'm going to travel to Malta again this May, and I'm really considering to move to Malta within a year. I just love everything about Malta 😊 Keep up the good videos Alex!

Hi Alex, UK prices are really going up on lots of items now. Nescafe coffee is £7 a jar, used to be £4.50. A container of salt was 21p, now £1.60!!. I work in a supermarket and even with a staff discount my shopping bill has greatly increased. I found last August when I was in Malta the prices were not too bad. The cheapest prices I found last year were in Lidl in Marseille, but Europe seems to be quite expensive for fruit and vegetables in general compared to UK. I'm over to Malta soon so will be watching the prices. Thanks for the video.👍👍

EXCELLENT VLOG ALEX 📝 🛒 👏. The inflation rate in Australia is 7.4 % (Jan'23) down from 8.4 (Dec'22)..However, the inflation rate for "Food and non alcohol beverages" rose to 8.2% 😲. As I mentioned before I think essential food prices ARE 'high' for MALTA but similar to here 🇦🇺 "Minimum" wage :- Malta = €777/month and Australia = €2064 /month. This vlog is another eye opener, that's for sure. Notwithstanding, I sincerely think that the "Quality of Life" and the "HAPPINESS & POSITIVITY Factor" in MALTA is better and hard to beat 😊. ALEX you're a living proof of this 🇲🇰 ♥ 🇲🇹 😇. THANKS ALEX🚶 🎥 🏆 👏. Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

Thanks for the video, Alex. Good job with your grocery research. Here in Canada 🇨🇦 it seems they are using covid as an excuse to jack up the prices for everyday essentials. YOUR NEXT VIDEO IDEA Hi Alex, I enjoyed your video as always. Just a suggestion; we see the cost of living when buying from chain stores like Lidle and Pavi. Can you do a video shopping in Local Butcher Shops and Street Vegetable Vendors and VEGITABLE shops in local villages and towns. Also, buying eggs and milk from local farms if they still exist. NOT tourist areas. A good idea is to go back to the towns and Villages you already covered in your videos like, Hamrun, ZURRIEQ, Valletta, Qrendi, etc. That would be an interesting compare. Cheers man!

@ds5379 Жыл бұрын
@@jillyfarley4823 here in Malta M&S food products tend to lean on the pricey side. I also never shop in Iceland as the discrepancy between Maltese and UK prices is huge (and Iceland stuff is a far cry from being a luxury product). In additional to shipping costs, tariff costs related to UK no longer being part of EU further contributes. Malta mostly tends to have higher prices even in places like LIDL (say compared to Italy), but the difference tends not to be as steep as with British brands like Iceland and M&S for some reason.

The rent prices remained the same more less? Sorry, but this is absolutely incorrect information. Yes, you can find an apartment for e.g. 700 in 2023 the same way you could back in 2021 and they may have the same number of bedrooms, but that is the end of similarities. Rent prices skyrocketed. What you could get for 700 in end 2021/early 2022, now you will pay 1000 or more. Sadly, the accommodation quality remains unchanged. Perhaps you should do a more thorough research and make a video about it, since people watch your channel and some (outside Malta) may rely on the info presented here.
